I’m impressed with the clarity and the distance it captures. I’ve been able to look at recordings and can see license plates and can see details of strangers passing along the perimeter of my home. For the price, totally worth it. I’ve bought and used ADT cameras that can’t compare to the quality I get from the Google cameras. I totally recommend it.

Yes you have to use the Google Home app. I honestly don’t see why this is such a big deal to some people. The cameras catch and record more with better sensitivity if you have them connected to a power source, but for the areas where this isn’t possible they are suitable. I have one on my front porch wired, adding another to the side for battery and I just ordered the floodlight for the back yard. Very happy.

In the dead of winter, the battery lasted 4 months on a moderately busy street, an outcome which I was very happy with. Looking forward for the Google Home app update that makes it easier to scroll etc but so far no complaints. Worth it for the sale price I paid

Replaced old Nest Cam

I love how it has the battery so if it's plugged in and you loose power it may still work providing your internet is still up.
