Easy to set up and download the app to your phone. Cameras found my WiFi network and easily configured. You get motion alerts to your phone only if you subscribe to monthly service. Picture is excellent. Camera also has wide angle.

We put this in the assisted living facility where my dad is. It has worked like a charm. We have been able to see In detail how he is treated. We have seen and proven to the management that the staff was stealing from him and that their level of care was way off. The management has actually been very receptive to our videos. The picture and sound are very clear. My only complaint would be that the app does crash sometimes and the playback on your phone is not the same as on the computer. Also it can be tricky to capture exactly what you want on a clip and the help instructions are sketchy at best. But overall a great product.

These Nest wireless Cameras are great take great video and easy to use. they however require a lot of upload band with 1.5 mb per camera to be able to use 1080 resolution. other than that i would highly recommend these cameras.

If you research IP cameras, you'll find this at the top of just about every review list. I bought two before heading out on vacation to keep tabs on our house. The setup was easy and the picture quality is good (for an IP camera). The two-way talk is not as crisp as it should be via cell phone (bandwidth issues even at 4G). The voice would often get garbled and you cannot talk and listen at the same time - so conversation is awkward using this feature. Overall it's a good camera, but if you are going to buy more than one and have time, you might want to go ahead and invest in a real security camera system (depending on your needs). With no option to store video on premise, you can either sign up for a monthly subscription to save your video to the cloud or ... sign up for a month subscription to save your video to the cloud. No options to save to a local file store or anything. Obviously as a security camera you'd want your video in the cloud, but it'd be nice to have a high def backup option locally. Pros: Easy setup, nice phone app, good picture quality Cons: Have to run picture quality at lower resolution, has dropped camera frames even at the lower rate, fisheye lens is not the best, no option for onsite storage of high-def video (with lower def stored in the cloud), network bandwidth hog, motion detection not intuitive (cannot tell the difference between man and beast and cats set off motion recording all night long), no backup battery on the camera with local SD card buffering.

Fantastic for monitoring home when away. Very high quality and many very handy features. Works flawlessly and is really easy to set up. I now have two. Thinking about a third.

Bought two of these. No defects and easy to set up. Quality is nice, but the best app's layout can sometimes make the screen a little hard to see. Also, you have to pay for storage/playback larger than a few hours. Free trial when you first purchase, however. feels like the storage and playback capabilities should be default though

This is an incremental update of an already great camera. Have had both the DropCam Pro and now the Nest Cam. And really the only difference is the skinnier body. The image seems not much different and the occasional wifi disconnect seems to persist (I haven't eliminated the possibility of this issue to be caused by FIOS internet). An added bonus of NestCam over the DropCam Pro is the QR code set up. It made set up very easy for two of the cams. One of them I still had to use the old way of connecting the cam to a computer.

I bought this camera before going out of the country on vacation and just before a hurricane was due to hit Florida! I needed to keep an eye on things so I set it up on a bureau with a good view of my open plan house, doors and windows. I was amazed when I got my first alert. The camera had sensed a light on a timer going off! Clarity was great both day and night and set up was easy. Very pleased with this purchase

I have several of these cameras. The sound and image quality is great, I’m especially pleased w the night vision. We use as monitors four our infant son

Easy setup; high quality screen view in 720 or 1080 mode; excellent nighttime quality. Major cons are that product gets very hot, thus negating using any present third party housing for outdoor use; silly white power cord instead of matching black; app that needs a lot of work to take advantage of all that cam offers.

Very simple set-up, subscription is great and delivers as promised. Highly recommended for a quality security camera and connected to other Nest units.

The nest security camera is easy to install. The quality of the video is awesome!!! The alert notifications is accurate.

The camera captures good photo detail and sound. With the 130 degree range, it offers adequate coverage for the room. IT was relatively painless to install, and it was easy to add to my existing nest account. I’m not sure if it is an issue with my internet, but there is about a 5-10 second delay to travel to the phone. Overall, it does the job it is intended for. We bought an exterior camera for the parents!

Easy to set up and use. You can have two way conversation over the camera. This was a great investment and compliments my home alarm system. I use three cams and they cover my entire down stairs when I sleep upstairs and when out of the house. When sound or movement is detected I get a text on my mobile phone. Then I can look at the downstairs "live" or check history to actually see what alerted the cam.

This monitoring camera is great for keeping an eye on an interior space. The viewing angles is very wide, the picture is very clear on my device. The product itself seems to be built very well and has versatile mount options. Keep in mind it only works through your wifi, so if that goes down or has issues then this will not work. Notifications come to my mobile device to let me know the camera has detected some activity, which is very helpful. The only other caution is that unless you are willing to pay for the subscription then you only really have access to live video and clips from the previous few hours. WITH the subscription you can rewind and play virtually limitless video feedback.

I highly recommend this camera for several reasons. It has adjustable pixel count to accommodate internet connection via satellite up to the high speeds connection some people have access to. It has off site recording available at different rates or the choice to not use off site. It has magnetic base or hard wired base making it easier to find a spot to install. It still can be removed from the hard wired base and moved. It covers a large area allowing you to use one camera where some brands would require 2 or more. It is easy to install with out professional help. The picture is very clear and you can enlarge hard to see spots. The indicator light can be turned off to not call attention to it's location. It is completely compatible with so many brands of smart phones not just Apple products. The voice availability makes it perfect to talk to pets or kids with the push of a button. Although I am not using the automatic away feature, it is nice to know it is available. I am sure when I submit this I will think of several other reasons that I forgot to mention.

This is a very good camera, easy to install. The biggest drawback is that you have to subscribe to the service instead of recording to a hard drive. We have 2 cameras, one at home, one at our business both with the same account, but each costs us $10 a month. If they were at the same location it would be $15 a month instead of $20. I think Nest Aware could come up with a better system that isn't so expensive after you buy the camera.

The camera has great quality and streams in 1080p so you can see all that is going on. It has a nice wide angle lens so you can see across most medium sized rooms if you place the camera in a good spot. The features are also nice including the voice control so you can speak to pets or baby when they are on camera. The one downside I would hope Nest updates would be the notification alerts. Getting 1 alert every 30 minutes is a long time between things that are going on. Other than that it is a great device and works on wifi but you can stream it from your mobile device on cellular signal.
