I love the easy access via the iPhone app. The communication via my iPhone is really techie! When I bark, my canines know I'm almost home. The resolution is excellent. The hidden in plain sight adds an element of mystique to the whole package. Love it!

Decent entry level security cam

You won't see any clear images or details after that. It is easy to load up to your WIFI and system. But it is an entry level quality cam. I had 5 just like the last 13 years. I have not bought the newer higher pixelation model that will give better images in detail.

Nest Cam Indoor can produce a video quality of up to 1080p (1920 x 1080) at 30 frames per second, but is highly dependent on a stable Wi-Fi connection to achieve the highest quality setting. Typically, each Nest camera requires at least 2 Mbps upload speed at high quality settings, and while streaming on a phone, tablet or computer, each of these devices can use up to 2 Mbps of your download bandwidth. Another reason for quality and frame loss is distance and potential sources of interference. We recommend about a 50 feet direct line of sight distance from the Wi-Fi router, and this range should be shorter if there are potential sources of interference such as thick walls, mirrors, windows, competing signals from other wireless devices, microwaves, etc.)

I downloaded the App and followed the simple setup procedures and I was up and running in 5 minutes. I later discovered that the preferred router signal is 2.4, so I changed it from 5. It worked great on both signals.
