I was going out of town for an extended period of time and wanted to add internal cameras to augment the external ones I already had. The units mount to wall or shelf, have excellent depth of field; produce superior video and still images and contain both speaker and microphone. The interface is a little nonintuitive, but in true Google form, easily learned with minimal effort. And of course, Google's excellent and knowledgeable customer service is only a phone call away, 24x7. Each camera sends video or still images whenever it perceives movement. Exactly what you want. Additionally you can peek in remotely and get video from (virtually) anywhere in the world, via the Nest app. Unfortunately, lights that turn on and off automatically, or passing car headlights will fire-off the camera. Better a false-positive than a false-negative, though. With each waking up of a camera because of percreived motion you get an email, and a text message. Then the app shows the video or still image of what spooked the camera. Now for the fine print. The first month of full motion video service is free but to get full video after the first month you have to subscribe to a Google service; for 3 cameras that's $110/year (or $11/month); for the past 5 days per month. (E.g., You check-in on the 20th of the month, you see video from the 16th). Worth the expense for sure. Without paying for the service, using the Nest app, you'll see the appropriate still image on the app, you'll be able to peek-in (video) using the app, and the speaker and microphone are still active.

These little cameras are awesome they have great quality videos during the day and awesome night vision at night ! The downside is they tend to go in and out with electrical power spikes and drops but never down for more than 10 minuets!

I bought these to replace my baby monitors which no longer work with iOS 11. Everything about them is better than the old cameras I had been using. Better image, better mobile app, and better web app. I miss the temp and humidity that my old cameras had but not the batteries, those never lasted long anyway. About my only complaint is that I wish the mobile app allowed you to listen to the audio until you fully close the app. This was great when you wanted to use your phone for something other than watching the camera but still wanted to hear what’s going on in a certain room. I think Nest should be able to update the software to make this an option. Other than that, I wish you could resize the windows on the web app to see a bigger picture in one room versus another, right now it’s has all three the same size and the borders waste a lot of space. I imagine getting more of these cameras in the future and being able to size everything to fit on a single screen, sort of like you see on security system monitors, would be very handy.

Easy to setup and works like better than expected. Picture and sound quality are superior to any other webcam or security camera I've used in the past. I purchased a second one for my office use and linked to the same app and screen on my wireless phone.

I was skeptical about the quality of this camera, but I was pleasantly surprised! I dont use it every day, but we went on a trip to California last week and I had the camera set up in the house. Not only was it awesome to be able to see the house while Im hundreds of miles away, but I was surprised how wide of an angle it captured. I could see the entire living room, the front door, the windows, and even part of the kitchen. Im very happy with this camera. It does get hot very quickly but as long as it keeps working I guess it will be fine.

The Nest is a great camera, clear quality and great sound! Night vision is amazing as well! Have recommended to everyone when asked if I would buy again.

Great quality picture and so easy to set up. The 3 pack is a really good deal. I was worried they were different cameras than the individual purchase ones but they are not. It's the same ones.

This web cam provides monitoring during daylight as well as night time darkness. You can access image on phone or computer device. It also provides alerts to motion. Only complaint would be time delay between motion and alert. It can be delayed for short time 30-60 seconds. Recording allows review of activity however.

Easy to set up. Easy to use. It has a clear picture with sharp sound We actually used this as a camera for foaling out a horse . But we have a little older camera used for security purposes too . This camera is really good. I highly recommend it .

Setup of cameras and account was easy. Picture is clear. I like the zone features. Only feature I would like to see is to set notifications based on time of dectected activity. Only option seems to be if I am home or not.

These cameras are great! Standalone and they are so easy to set up. The picture is very clear. They are great for monitoring your puppy dog when you are gone. These make you feel connected to your home even when you aren't home. Very useful.

Love how easy it is to connect to my phone! It alerts me if there is movement (that can be taken off) and I can click to see what it is. Having a dog at home while I work, it is a great way to know that everything is okay while I'm away.

This is my first camera inside the home and the quality is wonderful! It was an easy setup and took less than 5 minutes. The only thing I’m not happy about is paying more for the Nest subscription after the free trial.

This is a really great security camera. The high definition picture looks really good on my phone. It alerts me with any movements right on my phone. I travel a lot for work and this is the perfect product for me to keep an eye on my home.

Great camera so far! Notifies me of motion, can set it for home or away. Huge fan. I wish the online storage was a little cheaper (especially for my cameras 2-4), but it's worth it.

The quality of the video is great (and adjustable up to 1080p). Setup is quite simple. I have other cameras but the cloud storage (while you do have to pay for it) is reasonable and convenient, as you don't have to have machines running to do the recording. I did not think i would be as impressed and thought paying for the storage would leave a bad feeling, but $100/year with the ability to go back 10 days is really worth it. I find it to be very reliable as well. Definitely worth it as i feel it is the best solution out there.

easiest set up and delivery to my app on my iPhone and computer, for longer video saving time you will need to buty a subscription, 9 $ month well worth it... ps has night vision and mic talk back its the best

The Nest Camera is by far the best camera on the market! The quality of the video from the camera in complete darkness is amazing. The only disappointing note about the camera is that it requires a paid subscription to be able to take advantage of all of the features. And it seems expensive.

Great camera. Picture is clear with a nice wide angle. The premium content service, while nice, comes with a steep price tag at $10/mo. I hope they come out with a lower price tier, even if it doesn't come with as many features.

Installation of the Nest Cam was less than ten minutes, including account registration. A Nest Aware subscription is highly recommended to use the advanced features of the Nest Cam. Image and sound quality is incredible!
