I invested in the Google camera system because I liked that it allows you to check back on full video recordings, not just short clips like the Ring camera — but only if you pay for a subscription. The app itself offers some good features, but the overall experience has been frustrating at times. The video quality could definitely be better. Zooming in distorts the picture so much that it becomes almost useless. For a company like Google, I expected much better clarity. The app also needs serious work. There are times when videos simply won’t load for me, and the only fix (according to Google’s own support team) is to uninstall and reinstall the app. I’ve had to do this every few weeks just to get it working again. Another frustrating part is the shortcuts — they won’t let me see all my cameras at once for some reason. I also purchased the Google floodlight cameras for outside, but I’ve learned that cold temperatures really affect their performance. During really cold weather, the cameras sometimes stop recording altogether. The weather resistance, especially in cold temperatures, definitely needs to be improved for outdoor cameras. Overall, while there are some features I do like, I think this system has a lot of room for improvement. For those of us paying for a subscription, it’s frustrating to see the features not work properly. As of now, I would not recommend this product. There are other cameras out there with better video quality, and the recording feature (which is one of the main reasons I chose this system) only matters if the app works consistently — which it doesn’t.

Needed to increase security inside my house. I already have cameras outside and have been very happy with them. These were just as easy to set up.

I love my nest cams. I have them set up all around the exterior of my house and this one in the interior.

Love this camera. Easy to install and use. Have several camera's indoors and outdoors.

Pretty good, but I miss the previous Nest cameras that worked with the Nest app. You can really see the design choices that are influenced by Google's product strategy than when Nest was it's own company. This camera doesn't has sacrificed quality in build and features for a cheaper device that can be more mass spread. It also makes you use the Google Home app which doesn't have as much function as the previous Nest app. I do like the smaller form factor and the easy mounting capability.

It’s good product. Need to use Google app not nest app. Since they are shutting down drop cam. I needed these now.

Overall great cameras for the price. I like the alerts and that it’s compatible with nest. I was able to link my old cameras

Great camera for the price and easy to program....

I'm an admitted Google fanboy and I love this addition to my Home. Setup was fast and simple, the video quality is great and integration with my Home routines is perfect.

It's what I expected when I got it 1 year ago. No complaints.

This has been great. Has a good quality image, can notify and record when there’s movement or sound. Looks nice sitting on my shelf. Integrates well with other nest and google products.

These cameras work perfectly, never a glitch. I have 10 of these at various properties. NO false alarms - ever so far

Easy to install and to add on to your Google home app the only con it's you can't setup with the nest app but other than that really good camera

Great quality, easy to set up, Home app works perfectly. 3 hour recording save time is a plus.

Love being able to watch all 3 camera at once. Picks up even the slightest bit of movement! Quality clean for both video and sound.
