Works great - Have to use G Home

We understand that long time Nest users, like you, enjoy viewing their Nest camera feeds from the Nest app. However, our priority with this launch was building a complete experience for our new cameras and doorbell in the Google Home app. We wanted to make the Google Home app as the one place you can control all your favorite Nest and other smart home devices with the Google Assistant. The new Nest Cameras and doorbells are exclusive to the Home app because we wanted to create an integrated experience with other Google Nest speakers and displays.
If you´re willing to try, you may set up your older Nest cameras on the Google Home app as well. For more information, check out this help article:

Owned for 5 months when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.The best camera is great but the only reason I gave it one star less is because of app. I have all other Nest products I can view right on Nest app which can also be viewed in Home app however for this particular product, it can only be viewed in Home app ONLY! I wasn't happy when I found out. Unfortunately and bad design decision.

We hear your concerns about viewing your camera feeds, and we’re aware that longtime Nest users like you enjoy viewing the camera videos using the Nest app. However, our long term plan is to use the Google Home app as the one place you can control all of your favorite Nest and other smart home devices along with Google Assistant. In the near future, we’ll allow users to set up previous Nest devices and have full control in the Home app. While the new Nest cameras and doorbells are exclusive to the Google Home app, users with previous versions of Nest cameras, like you, can view your camera feeds in the Google Home app alongside the new Nest Doorbell and Nest Cams.

Great Little Camera
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Purchased this camera to keep an eye on my home while I’m away, and it does a great job in serving this purpose. Set up was quick and simple with the Google Home App which also allows you to configure this product and its notifications to your liking. While its not the camera with the highest quality, in my opinion, the video quality is great. My only complaint is that the video stream can only be rotated 180 degrees, so this limits mounting options.

Jf you’re already bought into thr nest/google ecosystem, its a great pick for continuously recorded footage via one of their plans. This uses the Google Home app instead of the Nest app… fortunately the most recent major updste made it a lot more feature complete and similar to what that Nestapp offered. I recommend it!
