I have a good collection of them now covering both the interior and exterior of my house. Easy to set up and easy to monitor. I do pay the monthly fee for Nest Aware which is the main perk of these cameras. Having 24/7 recording capabilities and cloud storage is a big win. Happy with my purchase.

No nest app access

But this camera wouldn’t allow me to add it to my nest app for a one stop easy access. I would buy again if it was my first purchased camera, easy to set up and great quality.

The new Nest Cam (indoor, wired) is exclusive to the Home app because we wanted to create an integrated experience. Our long term plan is to use the Google Home app as the one place you can control all of your favorite Nest and other smart home devices, as well as Google Assistant. In the near future, we’ll allow users to set up previous Nest devices and have full control in the Home app. Users with older cameras can view their camera feeds in the Google Home app alongside the new Nest Cams. Our team is working on bringing full functionality to the Google Home app so all of your cameras can be set up and controlled in one place.

Camera is fine, Google Home app needs work

This version of nest camera utilizes the google home app, which isn’t the greatest. I find the google home app to be clumsy and it lacks some of the key functionality features that the Nest app had. I wish google would work on the app or allow the newer cameras to be used in the Nest app.
