    This camera works well without any issues thus far. I originally purchased the outdoor wireless camera but had problems before even installing it so I chose this and and have it aimed out the window. My goal was to have all cameras on one platform and Google was the easiest choice as we have the Nest doorbell.

    Much better image quality than the original versions. Easier to wall mount too. The app is disappointing especially with rewinding to see previous events, it's very finicky.

    The camera quality is pretty good. It has issues with distinguishing when night mode should be activated. And when lights are on inside my home, it makes weird purple waves down the video stream. I also really dislike the google home app, it’s ridiculous that this camera cannot be added to my google nest app (where my doorbell camera and thermostats are). I don’t need anything amazing quality, so this camera is fine for me. If you want perfection, this isn’t the way to go. Google’s subscription costs are also outrageously high and going up apparently, so that’s also something to consider.

The new Nest cameras and doorbell are exclusive to the Google Home app, but you can view both your old and new Nest Cams together in the Google Home app.
