Good quality, the speak option is helpful especially when the dogs are getting into something. Easy to use and hooks up to google home with no issues.

But it does allow me to check in on pets while I'm away on shift for 24 hours

The indoor camera I put in the living room to check the children activities & it is working exactly as I needed. Nest is the best

We’re aware that longtime Nest users enjoy viewing their Nest camera feeds from the Nest app. However, our priority with this launch was building a complete experience for our new cameras and doorbell in the Google Home app. While the new Nest cameras and doorbells are exclusive to the Google Home app, users with previous versions of Nest cameras can view their camera feeds in the Google Home app alongside the new Nest Doorbell and Nest Cams. Also, Google accounts come with the added benefits, such as one account to sign into both the Nest and Google Home apps, automatic security protections, your Google Nest devices and services working together, and more.

The camera allows my wife to see her mother anywhere by looking on her cell phone. The camera greatly serves our need.

That said, I am NOT a fan of the Google app that you're forced to use. Terrible format, horrible user interface. Surprising Google hasn't figured this out yet and upgraded - if you're a Nest user, their app was incredible.

The new Nest Cam (indoor, wired) is exclusive to the Home app because we wanted to create an integrated experience. Our long term plan is to use the Google Home app as the one place you can control all of your favorite Nest and other smart home devices, as well as Google Assistant. In the near future, we’ll allow users to set up previous Nest devices and have full control in the Home app. Users with older cameras can view their camera feeds in the Google Home app alongside the new Nest Cams. Our team is working on bringing full functionality to the Google Home app so all of your cameras can be set up and controlled in one place.
