However, don’t like the new Google Home format as much as the old Nest format. These cameras can’t be added to existing Nest app. You first have to migrate your account to Google Home.

Camera stop working after two weeks. Went offline and doesn’t connect anymore even if I try a factory reset. Camera does have a small button to reset that’s needs to be reached with a paperclip and even this is not responding. I have 3 old nest cameo and work like a charm. This camera is pure garbage

We understand the convenience of using one app for all of your devices. The new Nest Cam (indoor, wired) is exclusive to the Home app. Our long term plan is to use the Google Home app as the one place you can control all of your favorite Nest and other smart home devices, as well as Google Assistant. In the near future, we’ll allow users to set up previous Nest devices and have full control in the Home app. Users with older cameras can view their camera feeds in the Google Home app alongside the new Nest Cams. Our team is working on bringing full functionality to the Google Home app so all of your cameras can be set up and controlled in one place.

We recommend getting the Nest Aware subcription to get the most features with your Nest Cam (Indoor, Wired) that include 30 days of Video History, 24/7 continuous recording, access to clips and time lapses and even customizing your own activity zones. You won't ever have to worry about missing any events as these videos and clips are all saved onto the Cloud. All these features can be viewed and controlled at the tip of your fingertip using the Google Home App.

Why call it nest cam but not support nest app?

Google home app is slow, crowed and clumsy. And it take more steps to see my camera steams. Also you cant check 24/7 doorbell videos from google home app. Camera is okay, but google home app sucks

The new Nest Cameras and doorbells are exclusive to the Home app because we wanted to create an integrated experience with other Google Nest speakers and displays. Here are some benefits you can get by using the Google Home app with your Nest Cam (Wired):
- Automatic security protections such as Suspicious activity detection, 2-Step Verification and Security Checkup.
- Your Google Nest devices and services will work together. For example, if you have a Nest Cam and a Nest Hub, just say, "Hey Google, show me the backyard camera” to cast your camera stream to your display without any additional setup.
- One account to sign into both the Nest and Google Home apps.
- Your homes and home members will be aligned across the Nest and Google Home apps.
The slow performance issue with the Home app, may be related to a possible congestion or limited bandwidth with your Internet connection. Removing some of your connected devices in the network, and checking to see if you will get better response from the Google Home app may help to confirm if this is the issue. Once you verify congestion, we recommend contacting your Internet service provider for a possible upgrade of your bandwidth.

Google Home is absolute trash to say the least! You can't view your cameras via a website and the app is horrible. I hope they remedy this soon otherwise I will be looking for a new service.
