    Nest cam second generation

    I bought this camera back in May like on the 10th of May and it is July 27th I believe well to long story short I moved from one apartment to the other and now I cannot install the camera for the fact that it's still on the last network from my previous router and I uninstalled it from the app and now I cannot install it back on to the new network cuz it's asking me to take it off the last Network which I don't have anymore because it has been disconnected terrible!

    It is a good product compared to the camera that works with battery. Sometimes it does not record any type of event even if it passes right in front of the camera, the quality of the recordings is not very good

      Hello there, AbrahamB. Thanks for sharing your experience with Nest Cam (indoor, wired). We’re sorry to hear that your experience is below your satisfaction. We suggest checking each of the camera settings so you can choose which events your cameras can detect and record (people, motion, package, etc.). From there, you (and each member of your home) can decide which of those events to get notifications for. If an event is turned off, you won’t get notifications for that kind of activity. Using activity zones to monitor specific areas can also help.

      You can also adjust your cameras’ video quality that may improve the resolution. The higher the video quality setting you choose, the sharper and more detailed your footage can be, but it also uses more of your internet bandwidth. This setting lets you choose the maximum video quality for your cameras. And whichever level you pick, your camera will automatically adjust its resolution and compression according to how much bandwidth is available.     Please allow 90 degree rotation of the stream.

    Solid device but really dissapointed in the lack of ability to rotate the video by 90 degrees (180 degrees is available). This is literally trivial to do and there are tons of complaints online.

      The new Nest Cam (indoor, wired) is exclusive to the Home app because we wanted to create an integrated experience. Our long term plan is to use the Google Home app as the one place you can control all of your favorite Nest and other smart home devices, as well as Google Assistant. In the near future, we’ll allow users to set up previous Nest devices and have full control in the Home app. Our team is working on bringing full functionality to the Google Home app so all of your cameras can be set up and controlled in one place.

    I'm extremely dissatisfied with GOOGLE/NEST, the camera works ok but Google decided the new cameras will not be added as a NEST device but only as a Google camera which won't let you use the Nest Web portal to watch the camera's video only via phone and guess what if you're not able to use your phone? right can't monitor your house.
