Hi DuaneLee, thanks for taking the time to share your feedback. We apologize if you’re unable to add your Nest Cam (indoor, wired) in the Nest app.

The new Nest Cam (indoor, wired) is exclusive to the Home app because we wanted to create an integrated experience. Our long term plan is to use the Google Home app as the one place you can control all of your favorite Nest and other smart home devices, as well as Google Assistant. In the near future, we’ll allow users to set up previous Nest devices and have full control in the Home app. Users with older cameras can view their camera feeds in the Google Home app alongside the new Nest Cams. Our team is working on bringing full functionality to the Google Home app so all of your cameras can be set up and controlled in one place.

Our priority at launch is to create an integrated experience with other Nest and smart home devices. While the new Nest cameras and doorbells are exclusive to the Google Home app, users with previous versions of Nest cameras, like you, can view your camera feeds in the Google Home app alongside the new Nest Doorbell and Nest Cams. We request for your patience as we’re working on bringing the full functionality to the Home app so all your cameras can be controlled and set up in one place.
