    Nest Google Cameras

The Cameras are good. The problem I have with the new Nest cameras is you can't open them in the Nest App. The NestApp was so simple, one step, open the app and all the cameras are visible. Now you have to opengoogle home, then select cameras, then you can veiw them. That ia not so bad, but the Nest app also includes the Nest thermostat. For me, the old Nest app was more user friendly.

      Posted .

Hello Chris, we’re thankful for the feedback you shared about the Nest Cam (indoor, wired). We appreciate that you like them, and we hear your concerns about using the Nest app, compared to Google Home app, to view and manage your cameras including your other Nest devices.

We’re aware that longtime Nest users enjoy viewing their Nest camera feeds from the Nest app. However, our priority with this launch was building a complete experience for our new cameras and doorbell in the Google Home app. Our teams are working on enabling the ability to set up and control older Nest cameras in the Home app so users will have one app to control all of their devices, and we’re working on bringing full functionality to the Google Home app as we want to create an integrated experience with other Nest and smart home devices. While the new Nest cameras and doorbells are exclusive to the Google Home app, users with previous versions of Nest cameras can view their camera feeds in the Google Home app alongside the new Nest Doorbell and Nest Cams.

We request for your patience as we’re working on a seamless solution to create a better user experience. Meanwhile, we suggest having the latest version of the Google Home app that may improve camera playback controls to make it easier to play, pause, and navigate between events from the camera history view for cameras set up in the Google Home app. And if you need help with any concerns about the performance and functionality of the camera, contact us anytime here and we’ll gladly help you the best we can: https://support.google.com/googlenest/gethelp Nest

This is my first Google-Nest indoor camera. The size is perfect (smaller than the first generation Nest indoor camera) and the camera quality is as expected. The only complaint I have is that it doesn't connect to the Nest app (where I have all my Nest cameras), but only to the Google Home app (which still needs work).

It has been over one year that I bought a pair of these indoor wired cameras. It was soooo easy to set up these two cameras within my home. These cameras connect easily with the Google Nest. Home security has never been this easy! In closing, today I have ordered another pair of these cameras for greater security.

I am so happy with this camera and it's performance that I ended up purchasing a 2nd one and hoping they go on sale again so that I can purchase a 3rd one. It works seamlessly with the Google app and has a crystal clear picture for a camera priced at this level. I highly recommend it!

The video and audio quality for this camera is much better than the 1st Gen camera that I just replaced it with. It has a heavier base that makes it much more sturdy as well. The only downside is that I can't use my 30' USB cable that I purchased for my 1st Gen cam since the new camera has the cable built in. I'm sure I can get something else to extend it if needed but the built-in cable seems to be long enough for now. Other than that it's great and worth the update from the previous gen camera.

Google cameras have excellent quality and practicality. This is perfect for use in garages or backyards where you have a cover and an outlet nearby. Installation is simple and integration with the Google Home app is practically automatic. The night vision and motion detection sensors are excellent.

Had to get two of these to replace two other cameras that were 10 years old. They still worked but won't be supported anymore on the app. So, we love these cameras. Obviously they last a long time. Just a little sad the old ones are being phased out. That said, the new cameras have a much better picture quality.

This camera works great. It can detect where a person or the dogs are in the room and alert just the dogs if I would like. It has facial recognition and will let me know if there is a stranger in the house. This is my 8th Nest Camera and I love them. They are great products.
