We have it installed in a vacation home and connected to the Google Home Hub. Lets me see what's going on inside the house. We don't have it connected to a "security system" or anything like that. But with the Google Home app I can see if anything is going on in the house. The picture is fine

Very happy with the camera and its function. I like how it can be added to my Google Nest subscription.

Placing the camera a bit closer to your Wi-Fi router can improve its performance and connectivity. Although the camera passed the connection test during setup, it will struggle to stay connected if it’s just a bit too far away from your router. If you're experiencing a spotty connection or weak signal, we recommend checking your Wi-Fi network to see if your bandwidth is congested, which happens if you have too many devices connected on the same bandwidth or if your network package is not enough to handle the data traffic on the network. Removing other connected devices to your Wi-Fi may relieve network congestion.
We remain committed on delivering quality products and giving value for the price to our customers, including three hours of event history right out of the box for the first time ever. On-device processing also gives our customers smart alerts and Activity Zones, which historically have required a subscription. While there's no fee to stream full resolution live video and receive basic notifications, you’ll need a Nest Aware subscription to get advanced features. Nice camera but needs pan/tilt

I honestly love the Google Home app and the way I can view all my cameras and get alerts for things such as people, the dog barking, or even just loud sounds. The cable is super long and includes everything needed to mount.

Google says everything will eventually move to Home, but until then there's no way to quickly glance at all your camera views if you add this to a set of existing Nest cams.

The Google Home app works great as well and very simple. Great addition for peace of mind when away from home.

Only 3 hours free otherwise I hear you have to pay, so if I am gone 2 hours I quickly preview what's happened and delete that 2 hours thus leaving me 3 hours free ahain. Plus I delete the history once home and all is fine. Complaints are bad feedback microphone speaker noise when I walk in the room and still have the app open. I usually have to turn the camera off via the app before entering witch I shouldn't have to. App can be confusing to remember where to find some of the features perhaps after I use it enough I will remember.

Adsing this and the Doorbell camera have been freat additions. I replaced a $25 Yi camera with this. I love that i dont have to pay for a monthly subscription if I don’t need it, but the camera is still bery useful. It covers my entire living room, dinning room and front door. If i speak theought it, i can be headd clearly. I can view it on my Google displays, or in the Google Home app on my iphone, Android or iPads (I have a lot of devices). I would definitely recommend. I had one glitch where i couldnonly see a white screen on my phone, but audio was working. I unplugged the can, plugged it back ij and it started working again. I also have Google Fiber for internet, so everything just works really well together.

Reliable, Convenient Security & Peace of Mind

I love it. The picture quality is awesome. I use it inside my RV and have it pointed outside one of the windows. I get alerts on my cell phone if there is any activity. The alerts are specific: The camera informs me whether there's a vehicle, animal, person, or other uncommon nearby. It also has night vision (yet I turned it off since it reflects too much from the RV window). One can turn sound on or off also.

The cam has an extra long wire if you need to attach it anywhere high to get a better view of the room you put it in. The only time it's ever turned off is during a power outage.
