All are working well with Google Home app and setup was straight forward. I feel more secure for them with live feed and do quality video call sometimes with them.

Good picture quality in light or dark conditions. Easy to set up. Unobtrusive. My only complaint is with the software. You aren't able to just review a few days worth of footage from start to finish. The only footage that saves are clips the camera deems worthy of note. So I'll get a save clip of something, but I'm not able to back up to a minute before the camera decided something interesting was going on, nor am I able to continue with the footage past when the camera decides nothing else interesting happened. Considering you have to pay for the service to save footage at all, they need to make it more flexible and not expect you to just be satisfied with whatever the AI decides is worth watching.

The Nest Cam (indoor, wired) has a basic sound and motion feature that is designed to analyze its video data for people, animals, and moving vehicles, and can recognize when the same people reappear. To detect anything besides a person, animal, or moving vehicle, the camera checks for general motion in the scene. It learns what’s normally in its background view and looks for movement and changes. As a result, it can sometimes trigger not just for important things, but also for minor things like tree branches that sway in the wind. If you only need your camera to detect people, animals, or moving vehicles, it's recommended that you do not turn on this feature.
To change detection settings:
- Open the Google Home app .
- Tap your camera or doorbell.
- Tap Settings > Event.

Nest wired camera

I added this to my garage always paranoid if the garage is closed or not so it’s nice to just go and check on the app. Not too bad of a price, but even better if you can catch it on at a discount

The only thing I don’t like is it’s two different apps now. Even though the old cameras show on the google home app

Then I moved it to watch my smoker while at my desk to make sure everything was in order. Now it's floating around the house for misc purposes. It seems that I may need another one for the garage now.

There are different factors that can affect the Night Vision. Try to angle your camera away from bright lights, or to install it in a shady spot. You should also make sure that any nearby surfaces or objects (like a wall) are out of view, since the camera’s infrared light can reflect off a surface. Ok for compatibility with Google products

I’m trying to stay with google products to work with my google hub. I would have chosen the ring option if it was compatible

It was incredibly easy to set up, and I've enjoyed being Abel to check on it from anywhere. You don't need a storage plan unless you want to keep the history logged for longer than 3 hours.

Scan a QR code and follow the instructions in the google jome app. Takes about 5 mins and a media novice can set them up.
