We have two nest hubs and two nest minis. I bought this camera to replace an older indoor security. It was easy to set up and although it took a while to figure out all the possible settings, the flexibility these settings provide are great.

Google Home app is so much nicer than the Nest app, I’m glad they’re migrating over. People complaining that it didn’t work in the Nest app aren’t paying much attention to what they’re purchasing. They’re bringing all their products under one app, not sure how that’s a bad thing.

Does what it says it will and lets me watch my dog during the day. Minus one star because the best features (history, face detect, etc) require a monthly subscription to use.

We’re also focused on giving our customers value for the price, including three hours of event history right out of the box for the first time ever. On-device processing also gives our customers smart alerts and Activity Zones, which historically have required a subscription. There's no fee to stream full resolution live video and receive basic notifications, as long as your camera is connected to the internet. However, you’ll need a Nest Aware subscription to record video and receive advanced notifications. With a Nest Aware subscription your video will be saved to the cloud and you’ll get extra features. Nest Aware is a paid subscription service you can use with your Nest products to help keep you informed about important events at your home. Good Camera for a nice price, app...

Great quality camera. Does not work with nest app, only the Google home app. Google home is a bit limited compared to Nest app.

Though my foscam camera s work better, they are movable, can record video , have Norton detection, but harder to install.

We understand that longtime Nest users enjoy viewing the Nest cameras using the Nest app. However, the new Nest cameras and doorbell are exclusive to the Home app because we wanted to create an integrated experience with your speakers and displays. Our long term plan is to use the Google Home app as the one place you can control all of your favorite Nest and other smart home devices, as well as Google Assistant. Users with older cameras, like you, can view camera feeds in the Google Home app alongside the new Nest Doorbell and Nest Cams.

They can be a bit more pricey but they/ the whole google system is worth it. Since buying one, I can not stop buying google stuff.

It let you set up different zones to monitor for different things. And it can distinguish between little baby vs dogs. And it won’t notify again for the same person unless the time is far apart.

Ensure you have a good location with access to an outlet. The camera has a pretty wide lens which is great for seeing multiple points of entry at the same time. If you put it in a high traffic area, decide how you want notifications on your phone. It will go off a lot, which is not a bad thing

Great camera for the price!

The picture is crystal clear and it is very easy to set up. We have four other nest camera’s that we use to monitor our property when we are away. Excellent camera for pet monitoring also.
