However, I've had numerous times when I've waited for connection to the camera. I transitioned from Eufy but I'm not sure if I'll stay with google based on my experience. No connection issues with Eufy.

If you haven't tried troubleshooting the connectivity issue yet, here are some recommended steps you can try out:
- Check for possible congestion in your Wi-Fi network. Removing some of your connected devices can help free up some bandwidth space. You may then check to see if you will still experience the same connectivity issue.
- Check for possible sources of interference such as the thick walls and appliances in your home.

If you have a mix you can only view these cams in the Google Home App. That said, video quality and field of view are top notch for the price point and installation is a breeze.

Posted .Hi there joshgifford, it's unfortunate to hear about your disappointment with the move we made to the Google Home app for the new generations of Nest cameras and doorbells, including Nest Cam (Indoor, Wired).
We wanted to make the Google Home app as the one place you can control all your favorite Nest and other smart home devices with the Google Assistant, hence the reason for the move to the Google Home app. If you already have some Nest cameras installed in your home, you may transfer them to the Google Home app. Here´s a guide that you can follow: https://support.google.com/googlenest/answer/9893532

Posted .Hi Christine, thanks for posting a review. We’re glad to hear that you find Nest Cam (indoor,wired) great, and we regret to hear about the connectivity issues you’re experiencing with it.
Connectivity issues can be caused by different factors like location and distance of Nest Cam, Wi-Fi router, outdated phone and Google Home app. This may also be caused by Wi-Fi network congestion and Wi-Fi interference with other devices and/or networks. Removing other devices from your Wi-Fi might help. You can also try setting up your device on either the 2.4GHz or 5GHz bands and see which band is more reliable.
