    Parents bought this product for their house and it did not live up to the hype. Much harder for them to install and was not as seamless as other options they have used in the past. They decided to return the product.

    I wish they would tell you that you need to use the google home app for their cameras. I have a fleet of nest cameras for outdoor and nest protects and the thermostat. I don't want another app for just one camera.

      The new Nest Cam (indoor, wired) is exclusive to the Home app because we wanted to create an integrated experience. Our long term plan is to use the Google Home app as the one place you can control all of your favorite Nest and other smart home devices, as well as Google Assistant. In the near future, we’ll allow users to set up previous Nest devices and have full control in the Home app. Users with older cameras can view their camera feeds in the Google Home app alongside the new Nest Cams. Our team is working on bringing full functionality to the Google Home app so all of your cameras can be set up and controlled in one place.
