    always goes out

    we purchased three of these for our home and much like other people, the video feed keeps on going out. sometimes the video is pure white with just audio. the access point is literally 10 feet from the camera and brand new...i even tried it with two different access points and we have the same issue.

      Connectivity issues can be caused by different factors like location and distance of Nest device, Wi-Fi router, outdated phone and Home app. And if you're experiencing a spotty connection or weak signal, we recommend checking your Wi-Fi network to see if your bandwidth is congested. This may happen if you have too many devices connected on the same bandwidth or if your network package is not enough to handle the data traffic on the network. Removing other connected devices to your Wi-Fi may relieve network congestion. You can also try plugging your Nest cameras into different power outlets to rule out power issues. And if required, you can try restarting your router to reset your internet connection. You should also restart any Wi-Fi range extenders or repeaters that you have.

    Good Camera but, first gen had a better response and connectivity

      A range issue or wireless interference can affect the performance of your camera. Sometimes it may pass the connection test during setup, but will struggle to stay connected if it’s just a bit too far away. If you're experiencing a spotty connection or weak signal, we recommend checking your Wi-Fi network to see if your bandwidth is congested. This may happen if you have too many devices connected on the same bandwidth or if your network package is not enough to handle the data traffic on the network. Removing other connected devices to your Wi-Fi may relieve network congestion. If your camera is mounted too far from your Wi-Fi router, you may need to extend your Wi-Fi network’s range using an extender, boosters or additional Wi-Fi access points.

      Here are some steps that may also help:
      - Plug your Nest camera into a different power outlet to rule out power issues.
      - Turn off other devices connected to your WiFi to see if this is about network traffic.

    Don't buy Google Nest Cameras

    Don't waste your money - bought in July and 2 out of four cameras are not working. Again I set up appointment with Best Buy Geek Squad and I had to wait about 3 weeks for them to NO SHOW, NO CALL. I had to make another appointment and wait a month for them to come out. We will see if they show up.

      Installing a Nest camera is an easy DIY project that takes about 20-30 min. The Home app will walk you through Nest Cam (wired) setup with detailed instructions. You can install it with the stand and place it on a flat surface like a table, desk, shelf, or counter. Or you can mount it with screws which can firmly hold the camera on a vertical surface like a wall or ceiling.     Not the Nest we know.

    Not the Nest quality it used to be. Can't create clips Can't use the nest app with ( Newer Google Cam ) Quality of the camera is not the same as when original Nest made them. Video quality is worse then my Nest IQ Cameras ( released years before the new google wired cam ) If these issues don't get fixed very soon i'm going with Arlo

      The new Nest Cameras and doorbells are exclusive to the Google Home app because we wanted to create an integrated experience with other Google Nest speakers and displays. We wanted to make the Google Home app as the one place you can control all your favorite Nest and other smart home devices with the Google Assistant.     Have a whole Nest system. Added this camera but since Google has bought Nest it couldn't be added to the app. What a disappointment! Am considering throwing the whole system out (two homes) and starting over. Don't waste your money!!!! Also, the Google app is totally inadequate compared to Nest.

    Video after 2 weeks comes out pink and audio no longer works. And since 14 days return and exchange window closes, I am stuck with a broken camera.

    Returned the first one thinking it was a faulty product but no second one also looks very blurry how is the first gen better than the second, that blows my mind
