I did get some good free geek squad help though. The camera seems to be working right now, but I will likely have to figure out some of the other features.

Better than I expected

I was hesitant but bought this anyway. It works perfectly. It is good to know that it does not have the same adjustability as the magnet bases found in the exterior models, but the picture quality and function is great.

I originally purchased the outdoor wireless camera but had problems before even installing it so I chose this and and have it aimed out the window. My goal was to have all cameras on one platform and Google was the easiest choice as we have the Nest doorbell.

You would think it would be backwards compatible but it's not. Google is trying to force us into using Google home which is not as user friendly as the nest app.

The new Nest Cam (indoor, wired) is exclusive to the Home app because we wanted to create an integrated experience. Our long term plan is to use the Google Home app as the one place you can control all of your favorite Nest and other smart home devices, as well as Google Assistant. In the near future, we’ll allow users to set up previous Nest devices and have full control in the Home app. Users with older cameras can view their camera feeds in the Google Home app alongside the new Nest Cams. Our team is working on bringing full functionality to the Google Home app so all of your cameras can be set up and controlled in one place.
