I finally got the iPhone running again, but didn't want to take another chance, so I returned the camera. Kudos to BestBuy for accepting the return without any issues. I never got the camera to work, so I can't say anything about its quality.

We appreciate your feedback and we´re sorry to hear of your disappointment with the Night Vision for Nest Cam IQ Indoor.
Here are some steps you can try that may be helpful:
- Clean the lens with a soft cloth that’s made for cleaning optics. Dust, thumbprints and dirt can cause poor image quality.
- Turn your camera so that any nearby surfaces or objects (like a wall) are out of view.
- Use the Nest app to zoom and enhance and crop out surfaces or objects that may be causing glare.
- If you see a bright white shape along the edge while everything else is too dark, there might be a surface that’s too close in your camera’s view (like a wall). Angle your camera so the surface stays out of view
- Move nearby objects that may be reflecting the infrared light.
You can control and adjust the brightness intensity of the Status LED light for your Nest Cam IQ Indoor. Just go and open your Nest App > Tap on your camera > Tap Settings > Select Status light. Then you can choose Low, High, or Auto.

If your picture was very fuzzy, and the sound was choppy, this means the Nest Cam or Nest app didn't have a fast enough network connection to stream at high quality, and automatically adjusted to a lower quality. It self-zooms to bring someone far away closer and self zooms out as the person approaches the camera. Picture quality is crystal clear.

Works great as long as your within range. The further you go and more interference you have in-between, you will begin seeing lack of quality. Overall, great camera, quick setup, especially if you already have other Nest Products on your network. The 4K sensor kicks in really well when you zoom in! It is not 4K default, it retains 1080p quality as you zoom in so don't be confused. The alerts are very helpful!

I really like the video quality, the set-up was easy, the auto-tracking is sometimes useful and sometimes I cancel it. The notifications are inconsistent, but overall this is a really nice product. I have recommended it to my family already!

The TV confuses its Facial Recognition feature!

But, for the price, I was expecting better video quality. However, the biggest frustration involves the Facial Recognition IQ feature. If you have a big screen TV which is in the camera's line of sight, it will think that is a real person. I have over 300 false alerts of unknown faces which happened to appear on the TV. I have an open case with Nest about this issue. If you do a Google search, you will see that this issue has existed for over 8 months since the product was launched and Nest refuses to address it. I have tried creating zones both around the TV and over the TV, but the Facial Recognition ignores the zone settings. Bad Google!

With this top of the line one they have stopped taking care of the customer. There is no wall mount and finding a fitting one is really a chore. It's a shame. The camera is fine but the added feature of people recognition does not integrate with anything yet and so is reasonably meaningless. The lack of a wall mount makes me want to return the nest iq

I have a very old nest camera and wanted to get a new one for a different area of my house. I am so pleased with the quality of the video, both during the day and at night. I have had no issues.
