    Cameras Are Great, Service Is Terrible

    I bought two of these for $500. You still have to pay $8 a month for them to be useful and it takes up to 5 days to activate your subscription (this is 2018, right?). The cameras are great when they work. A lot of the times they don't. Sometimes they will report as being offline when they aren't. Getting video history with your PAID subscription is like flipping a coin, cross your fingers that you'll be able to pull up your video. When it does, it's only after a long loading time. I had a woman come into my house and steal from me. When the police came to take a report I couldn't access my history. The servers were down.

    Goes offline too often

    If this model stays connected long enough to view it LIVE, the picture quality is fantastic! I have 2 of these in one of my houses and several of the non IQ models throughout. Save the money and get the much less expensive regular indoor cameras....they’re very reliable and provide a great quality image. The IQ cameras consistently display the blue spinning circle (look it up) and then display as offline in the app only to reconnect themselves a little after that message. Was hoping a firmware update would resolve but as of yet it hasn’t.

    NOT worth the price

    I have 7 Nest Cams (w Subscriptions) and was looking forward to this product. Unfortunately it was a major let down and promptly return. Full of bugs and the recognition doesn't work very well. I'd recommend the original over this.

    Don't waste your money unless you want to be tied into a lifetime subscription! You cannot use anything but live stream if you don't want to pay monthly or yearly, and their support agents have no CLUE how it works without a subscription! Every conversation I have with them, they give me steps and choices that don't exist because I don't a subscription. There is no little box to help you find whatever MOTION triggered the event. No SD or Mini SD card slot. It uses ALOT of bandwidth to constantly record things "in the cloud", so check your allotment with your ISP before making this a part of your home security system. I really thought Google was the safe choice here, but I was SO WRONG and I regret this purchase every single day!

    Constant subscription spam

    The app will continuously spam you asking to sign up for Nest Aware despite it not being required according to the product. Any interaction with the camera (touching screen, picking up phone, moving phone) will cause a large banner to obscure part of the video asking you to sign up. Dismiss and it will just return on any movement/interaction, so basically part of the video is permanently obscured unless you pay a subscription.
