Excellent cameras, unfortunately no longer available as a 2-pack at a better price than buying 2 separate cameras. Resolution is excellent, better of course by day, but still excellent night vision. Speaking and hearing the audio through the cameras does lag however, even at Cox's 150 megabytes per second internet plan.

Lot's of false alarms. Recognition marginal. Unbelievably, does not work with Google Home Hub for live viewing. Not worth the expensive price. Difficult to control with voice commands. Does have good picture quality. Does them in well on moving subjects. I would not buy again.

Spent a little over two weeks comparing this camera and the previous generation. Ultimately decided on the IQ camera because of the auto zoom feature and the video quality is great. It had a loud microphone to pickup any sounds outside. This is my 5th Nest camera as part of my home security system. Highly Recommend

I bought this camera to slowly replace my Arlo cameras. I’ve had good results with the Arlo cameras but they only start recording once motion is detected and therefore you miss some of the action. The Nest camera is always recording so you can go back and see what happened from the beginning. Plus this camera zooms in on people and follows them.

Quality facial recognition, video, viewing angle, wider viewing angle

These cameras were very easy to install. Once locked down and in place, they've done a fine job monitoring the areas behind our home. Plus, they have the capacity to identify people, which is pretty cool. After having my car vandalized, I feel much more comfortable and secure now that I have these cameras watching out for bad actors.

The camera so far has been great, picture quality is amazing! The two camera bundle came with two cables that didn’t work. Tried switching the cables to different camera, no luck! Called Nest and was able to get two cables sent out ( free of charge) and they both worked. Thank goodness it wasn’t the camera itself! Great customer service too, I figured it would be more involved to get replacement cables.

Easy install and the picture and sound quality is great.

I advised mom to buy these for her house. She had an electrician install them, since additional wiring was required to connect up the cameras... and so the wires could be run cleanly and according to code. So far she is pleased with these cameras, and they work well considering the fact she already was happy using the Nest app with the Nest Hello doorbell. At times there have been "camera offline" issues (but they don't last long), and this could be more a factor of the internet traffic in her area. Each camera does take some seconds to refresh it's view on the Nest app, especially when multiple cameras are all being updated in the Nest app. This seems normal, since the video is going to the Nest cloud via internet before becoming available to the Nest app for user to see. These cameras are expensive, so make sure you buy what you need and place them where you really need them... and where nighttime lighting (or lack of lighting) is not an issue. If lighting becomes an issue, you may have to consider buying additional lighting or eliminating existing lighting, depending on your desired camera view experience. This is probably true of any outdoor cameras, so don't hold these comments against this camera product. Just an fyi: If you need two or four cameras, the two-pack is usually less expensive than buying two individual cameras.

Great camera , easy set up , awesome display day and night .

Camera is awesome. Low light picture is awesome. Someone will have to explain to me why they need to cost $350. The camera is a 5 star camera, but it is way overpriced. Should cost half that. I won't buy another one and I can't recommend it due to the cost for what it does. It just sits there and doesn't move. $350 for that? Come on....

Easy to install. App is very good especially with multiple cameras. I have a ring doorbell camera that has far inferior resolution, connectivity and blooms in daylight. I see nothing at night through the ring because it adjusts poorly to varying light. Nest is far superior. Only drawback is there is no spotlight camera that i can find.

Great camera, but.... Google / Nest is discontinuing this camera just like they did with their expensive home security device. I heavily invested in the Google / Nest ecosystem and feel like they left me high and dry. Not a good feeling. Best Buy was great. Google / Nest - not so much.

excellent optics. spots people and digital zooms on them - but i wish it had a faster reaction time. it has a wide enough angle to cover my entire driveway. the night vision is good, but the video can be grainy. i'm going to upgrade the outdoor lights to the LIFX + to leverage their infrared light option to see if that will help. overall, very happy with this camera; it fits in nicely with my Nest system.
