I have all NEST products, works great. And now it's on the Google network, even better. I love the facial recognition and I can assign names to pictures of people. As I access the video, on my cellphone; I see it right away. My ring product is 10 seconds delayed, but not the NEST. This IQ Outdoor Camera is highly recommended.

You have to be pretty all in for the Google/nest ecosystem, but if that isn't a problem then these outdoor cameras really are a nice addition. With a Nest Aware subscription (as low as 6$/mo) you can have event recording for at least one month. Remember that these do require a wireless internet connection, and preferably a high speed connection at that.

The camera is easy to use. Installation is easy. Works great.

Plug is designed to be plugged inside, so consider where your wire needs to be run. I personally didn’t have an issue, but wasn’t aware of that beforehand. Picture is amazing. I’d recommend Nest Aware in conjunction with this type of camera, otherwise I’m not sure it’s worth the upgrade from the non-iQ camera.

love Nest outdoor IQ cameras. they work great and look and feel solid. I had to install a special USB-C to Cat-6 PoE adapter to get them to work with our prewired house outside but have no issues with them and the quality of the picture is awesome.

We have a Nest system with 3 cameras, the doorbell, thermostat, wanted to add another for the front/side of the house. I also have a camera no thermostat at my office but had to add it as a separate building. All Nets products work great, but this particular camera is pretty expensive.

Setup is as simple as down loading the app, plugging in the camera, and following a few simple instructions as long as you have a wifi signal. Mounting the camera can be anything from easy to hard depending on the location you choose and whether a power outlet is conveniently located. Day picture quality is excellent and night is good.

Gave it 4 stars because the clarity of picture, whether it be live or recorded images, is not to my satisfaction even when set to high HD quality. Also, these camera to work most effectively take 400 GB of data per month so you better make sure you are prepared to pay the price with your internet provider. The things I like: intelligence feature, notifications feature and 24-7 recording capabilities. Initially bought one camera, but after installing I quickly found the need to get the second one; both cover my front of house very effectively. Best Buy cut a deal with me for the second camera because I didn't originally buy the two pack which saves you about a hundred dollars. They gave me the two pack price when I brought my receipt in for the single camera and purchased the second. Besides reading reviews of this product, there are very informative UTUBE clips out there to compare other cameras against this one. I highly recommend you continue to do your homework before purchasing these rather expensive cameras.

I already owned 3 of the standard nest cams when I added the IQ because I wanted better visibility of occasional mail thieves that come by overnight. The video quality is much improved but, unfortunately, the night vision appears to be similar so I don’t think I’ll be getting a clear picture of a license plate as I was hoping to do

NEST is a very good camera and service. It’s one of the best on the market. Continuous recording is a great feature most services don’t offer. It’s not a perfect camera, lots of false notifications and uses a lot of bandwidth. Quality is good but expected a bit higher resolution when zooming in. Overall great camera and recommend.
