I really blew this purchase. Did not realize I only had 2 weeks to return a purchase to best buy. I bought a nest router, 2 pods and 2 security cameras all at once. It was a new install for my broadband and the date got pushed back and by the time I installed the equipment, the return date had expired. Luckily the nest router and pods installed and worked just fine. The cameras didn't even light up or try to install. So I have had to go through google support. The first support rep was great. Then the email I got was not what he had said, so I contacted support through chat again. Well, the next 2 support reps did not know what they were talking about at all and were rude and patronizing. Oh, and using covid as an excuse when that was not the reason at all is completely inexcuseable google. I finally got through today with someone who knew what they were doing and I think my replacement cameras are on their way. I have long since paid for cameras through best buy that do not even turn on, are sitting in my entry way and now finally have an active rma number. I hope this goes through though because I now I have second charge of 2 cameras sitting on my cc account during this process with no working cameras. I hope all you guys are right. I hope these cameras are worth it.

I would write a good review, but one did not work and Best Buy can not pull it up and give me a replacement or money! Not happy. I opened the box last week to install and it will not link up.

The cameras are good. I love the constant recording (as opposed to clips from other vendors that often miss the activity). However, Google removed features (no longer works wit IFTTT) and has not yet provided replacement for the lost abilities for new devices. It has been over a year since they summarily removed features for their very expensive (now) dumb devices. Not what you thought you would get with a Google purchase--less technology.

I really like these cameras when they are on the subscription. But once the subscription ends it's only photo and only for 3 hours. So cameras are pretty useless with out the subscription.

The cameras are NOT wireless. They plug into an outlet. The cameras are heavy and bulky. There are Better options are out there. Not worth the hype

These things suck up major bandwidth at high res since they are on 24/7. This could cause you to exceed your monthly data cap. Buy Arlo instead.

I bought two Nest Outdoor IQ cameras in one box - One works great and the other has failed multiple times, now power is off can’t fix it very disappointed nest is too expensive unfortunately my cameras are 18 months old so warranty is outdated, Google should take care customers with this problem

Bought one to test was awesome, ordered 4 more and the doorbell. Before you assume - I have 1gigbit service and a mesh network with rock solid wifi everywhere. Hooked up the doorbell and everything went south. Slow response, by the time I walked into the house, saw myself (outside) on the camera. Makes one feel secure - returned for Arlo. bad night vision but least they done freeze up

Not worth the money. The Nest Cam IQ is similar in quality as the regular Nest Cam.

Got the cameras and only 1 would connect to the base. I had already installed the first one when I tried the 2nd it won’t connect to the base and cannot install it. Now I’m stuck with a $400 dollar paper weight. Never will I buy something from BestBuy again

I would never buy this. The camera lasted about a month then stopped working so I called nest they sent me a new one that one stopped within a month working so I called nest I got another new one and the new one does not work right out of the box they sent me new cords and adapters and nothing is working. This is very frustrating because I have the doorbell and that works great I figured I would have all the same cameras on my property but this thing is terrible especially for the amount of money you pay for something that only lasts a month each time you use it. Do not buy and if you look it up on Google you will see I’m not the only one with this issue.

Wait for the new upgraded version coming out later this year 2021

The camera works great. I need the two way communication features but the sound output on the camera sounds like a whisper. Come to find out this is a common issue when using the nest app on an android device. Nest doesn't seem to be in a hurry to fix this as reports seem to go back over a year.

I'm on my 4th Camera replacement. At first I thought issue was due to how they were installed (paid Installation twice). GOOGLE PUTS A HOLD on your credit card for the cost of the camera for expedited shipping without having to return the camera. OR you can choose to send the camera back then wait 10 -15 Business Days after they receive it for them to ship to you. PLUS if you have Nest Aware you'll have to cancel & re-subscribe. So far I'm into these camera's for $1280.00 ($200 x 2 for installations). Replacement (BIB) cameras installed end of July 2020 - one of the cameras suddenly STOPPED working in less than a week. That camera was replaced. And just last Friday Oct 23, 2020 my other camera SUDDENLY STOPPED working. The camera's are JUNK & DO NOT RECOMMEND!
