The lights are great at night to help walk my dogs. The picture is also very clear.

We have it placed over our drive way and it is great the light is very bright the motion sensor has different sensitivity and makes it great for when we arrive home late and need some light. Very good quality product is great thinking of getting one for backyard

This is a copy and paste from my review on the Nest Cam Battery since it all applies here as well. At least I was able to return this to BBY and plan to shift all of my Google hardware purchases to BBY as a result. I'll start this out by saying I am a huge user of Google hardware products. Many Pixel phones, earbuds, Google Wifi, 2 Nest thermostats and several Nest Cam IQs. Generally super happy. Then we get to the new Nest Cam with Floodlight. Was super excited for it since one of my Cam IQs died (and with warranty that's too short). Ordered direct from Google, huge mistake there and should have purchased from BBY. My biggest gripe is that one MUST use the Google Home app to setup and control the new battery cams. As many other users have complained about this issue, I can also attest that the Home app is a terrible, terrible experience. Gone are the days where clicking on the Nest app brings up the camera feeds right away. Now you need to click on the Home app, then click on the Camera button and hope the cameras "connect." Also, if my battery cam is not plugged in I understand that it's not powered all of the time to conserve battery but don't you think when I click into Cameras in the Home app that I want to see that live view as well? And then there's the online experience. Why remove the ability to view the footage on a PC????? I use that feature at least once a month and it's invaluable. Oh well, guess Google knows better..... And there's no time stamp within the Home app so god forbid I need to send footage to someone they'll just need to guess when the recording was from. And finally, it's 2021. Why can't we have a 2k or 4k camera? And why no option to mount and power this via AC plug into an outlet? BK P.S. for the Google person that reads this, I don't want your typical form response that you're always listening. I don't believe that so don't waste our time with a canned response. Just please get this feedback to the product team so they can understand what paying customers think of their product they released too early and without much though.

The camera and lights were easy to connect to the house. Just two wires to connect and you are up and running.

This is my 4th floodlight camera. They work great. Many options and features for setup to capture movement both day and night.

I’m loving this camera with super bright floodlights. I observed a coyote about to enter my property, and the lights flashed on, and it ran away!

Love them so much I have boughten 22 of them. I live in a condo complex w/o security cameras, bought my own and have saved me financially and life wise.

Camera is easy to set up as long as you have existing junction box. It is pretty sensitive. At night I regularly get vehicle notifications that end up being bugs. Although it is plastic it still feels solid and like it will last. I have other google home items and like the simplicity of a single app for them all.

Great product, Nest Cam captures from far distance any object and reports.

Cons: Google can't get it right between Nest and Google home. My Google Nest doorbell sends notifications through Nest app, but this thing must be accessed through Google Home (where the doorbell is also visible but doesn't send notifications.... weird). I assume Google will update this at some point, hopefully, maybe.

I bought 3 floodlight cameras less than a year ago. Installation was good and I was happy with them until I had to update WiFi settings. My cameras are installed >25 ft above ground and the process to update WiFi requires a manual reset at the unit itself - 1/3 units was a breeze to update; for the other 2, I couldn't get past a "something went wrong" message even with live support from Google Nest Customer Care (tried > 10x for each unit with no success). After repeated communications with Google, I got an email indicating a product replacement would be the next step. I'm still waiting for the promised email with links to initiate re-order process. I've tried to reach out to Google Customer Care via email and chat and get no responses after a week. I feel so dumb for believing the Google name would equate to a superior product with incredible technical support. I hope this review helps others not fall in the same trap as I (and wish no one has to update their WiFi ever)

Great product. Lights a very bright and I really like that it can detect animals.

We have the doorbell, guard, and mesh network so when it came time to buy a security camera, the flood light/camera made sense. Overall, we’ve been very happy. The set up isn’t terribly difficult but it’s important to follow instructions carefully. Like others, I agree it’s disappointing it doesn’t work with nest app.

Excellent direct replacement for floodlights good camera for outdoor visibility from high angle. Definitely recommended if you are already in the nest camera ecosystem.

This Nest Cam with Floodlight works great, was easy to install and I am thinking about purchasing another in the near future for our back porch.
