Google Floodlight

I mounted this at the top of my house overlooking the backyard. Pretty good picture quality but it appears my Nest Hello doorbell has a bed picture quality. Overall solid but a bit pricey

Nest Cam w/floodlight

The pic quality is outstanding and you can talk through it. You will need to sign up for a subscription but the peace of mind is worth it.

Great camera

Especially if you're investing in the Google ecosystem which I am. The lights are super bright at night and the sensors are very sensitive which I like. Before I barely step a foot onto my deck. It picks me up and the lights kick on. The video quality is also great!

It works pretty much as expected

Soind is hit or miss. Minus 1 star as I can't find a way to set a daily schedule for the floodlight.

Flood light cam

Not a fan of the Nest Google transition though. All my other cameras are on the Nest app and this one is on Google Home. They need to be more integrated on one app.

However, our priority is to create an integrated experience with other Nest and smart home devices. While the new Nest cameras and doorbells are exclusive to the Google Home app, users with previous versions of Nest cameras, like you, can view your camera feeds in the Google Home app alongside the new Nest Doorbell and Nest Cams.

Great Floodlight/Camera

That's not saying the video is bad, it's very good for 1080p and it doesn't use up a ton of bandwidth. I plan on purchasing another one to install on the back of my garage.

Great replacement for an old floodlight

The motion detector on this floodlight works perfectly and only lights when it should it should. The video is great and it's interesting to see all the activity in our alley including coyotes and a fox!

We replaced existing flood lights with these. The motion detection/range is perfect, the set up went smoothly, and they look sharp. The app works great. We're really happy with the technology.

I already have a nest front door camera so it shares in the video storage. I do get random notifications that someone is in the backyard but nobody is there.

Lighted Nest Camera

We did not want it there permanently so we direct wired. When we go to move it will be a snap not an ordeal. Excellent product!

Video is pretty clear. Can see both of my cameras on the same app. And I get 30 days of history with nest aware for a reasonable price.

Really good floodlights

Lights are pretty bright, and adjustable all from the app. Only downside is it works with the Google home app, not nest; and it’s meant to be mounted vertically, not horizontally. There is a simple way to get around that, just check YouTube.

The new Nest Cam with floodlight is exclusive to the Home app because we wanted to create an integrated experience. Our long term plan is to use the Google Home app as the one place you can control all of your favorite Nest and other smart home devices, as well as Google Assistant. In the near future, we’ll allow users to set up previous Nest devices and have full control in the Home app. Users with older cameras can view their camera feeds in the Google Home app alongside the new Nest Cams. Our team is working on bringing full functionality to the Google Home app so all of your cameras can be set up and controlled in one place.
