You have to pay 100-200.00 a year after an already pricey purchase just to have the cameras randomly go offline for no reason. All my cameras were hardwired and installed by an electrician. They still go offline randomly. Now I’m stuck with these things due to initial cost of item and install. Just buy ring cameras.

You won't ever have to worry about missing any events as these videos and clips are all saved onto the Cloud. You can also adjust the motion sensitivity setting to determine when the floodlight will turn on. We suggest trying to adjust the Daylight sensor settings to its darkest. Easy to install and easy to use

The lights are super bright, the video quality is great, the sound quality is great. If you are not an electrician or have no electrical experience, you can follow the video online and it gives you step-by-step instructions. Overall I'm very happy with the whole thing. You can set it up to recognize specific people, it can be set to only notify you of vehicles, people, or animals, or all three. You can set up how long the lights stay on per activation. Google made using this thing a breeze. You can set how dark it is before the lights activate. you can adjust the light settings and video settings by just using the Google Home App (Yes you will need an account if you don't already have one). You can also create routines using the light. There are activity zones so if you just want it to capture what's happening in one area, then it will only record what happens in that designated area.

The functionallity is problematic and the support information is inconsistent. Agents although friendly and patient, gave different information regarding solutions. I trust them to get it right soon. FYI: Nest is charging about $100 to add it to the Nest App (I already have 2 cameras and the App is better than Google Home).

Also, for your Nest Aware, If you have a 2nd Gen Nest Aware, all of your devices should be covered including your new Nest Cam with floodlight. You don’t have to pay an additional subscription. However, if you have a camera with 1st Gen Nest Aware, you couldn’t have a new subscription in the same home structure.
