Great camera!! Easy to install I already knew that it doesn’t add to a nest account only google home.

I'm very happy with this camera and flood light. Resolution is very good and it's highly compatible with my Google environment. Installation was as expected. Very good, very sturdy product.

The Google Nest Cam with Floodlight is a security camera that features a built-in floodlight for added visibility and security. It can be controlled and viewed remotely through the Nest app, and can also be integrated with other Nest devices and smart home systems. The camera has 1080p HD video, night vision, and motion and sound alerts. It also has two-way audio so you can talk to anyone on camera.

This is a decent looking unit, but a bit on the expensive side. I purchased it as it goes with our other Nest equipment and can be managed from the same Google Home app. Be aware that this doesn't work with the NEST app and you can't onboard it there. It'll give you a message to use Google Home if you try. As others have mentioned, Google Home is not as easy to use as the NEST app, so you have to be prepared to make some trade offs. The light itself is pretty good and the ability to recognize faces and tell the difference between cars, animals, people and other motion in the zones we create and monitor is a good feature that we like. This is the main reason we purchased it over some other brands. It's detection and ability give accurate notifications of what's happening is very good after you've tuned the parameters to say want you want to be notified of and what you don't. I experimented with it for a few days and tuned down the noisy items that I didn't care about but to also have it recorded if I ever need the footage. Also be aware that this is a Nest Cam Battery camera so it will NOT record 24 x 7 all the time. It records when there is activity and will continue recording as long as there is activity in the zone being monitored. You can also tell it to record a maximum amount of time after the activity too. Default is 30s. To me, this is a pretty good looking unit and the quality of construction is very good and not all cheap plastic. The plastic used is high quality.

The camera and lights were easy to connect to the house. Just two wires to connect and you are up and running.

Besides the camera going offline more than I would imagine or ever like for it to i feel much better having a camera outside my house and driveway than I would not having one...and it's really not that often that it happens.

No issues, great video, bright light, nothing else I need

i bought two cameras and setup appointment for installation. The first appt the guys said this can't be done by the bestbuy installer it has to come from an outside installer. so i had to setup a new appointment. I took several weeks to get a new appointment. I explained to the representative that he needs to make the right appt because it could not be a bestbuy installer. when the installer arrived, it was a best buy installer who could not complete the job. I had to make a third appointment. I finally got a rep who understood and assured me that the right installer would arrive. He did and installed the first camera no problem. the second camera would not connect to the network. So here it the 4th appointment. It took over a month for this appointment. Then the weather caused a delay so I had to reschedule. The one camera works fine. now i await the completion of of the second camera. i wish you could rotate the camera using the app. The installers were very nice and did what they could. they said i may have to return the other camera and get a new one. that would be another appt because they have to uninstall and remove it from the soffit then i have to return it. Bummer but bestbuy did waved the installation fee. I should also get a gift card for all I've gone thru and it is still not complete. As you can see this all started in Nov 2021. FYI my son bought and installed his camera in 20mins

This is my 4th floodlight camera. They work great. Many options and features for setup to capture movement both day and night.

I love my floodlight camera. It’s amazing. I connected it in my backyard and it works perfectly with the app. I set the light to come on as you work pass it and set it for a certain time. I have the service so I can view all events months after if I would like.

It’s big. It’s ugly. And it doesn’t really make any sense. Here’s why: Googles Home app makes it not make any sense. For some reason, Google completely separates the light settings for this camera from the actual camera part of the app. There is no slider or toggle switch for the light once you are in the camera part of the app. If you want to change any light settings, it’s totally separate and built into an entirely different part of the app. This makes NO SENSE. And a perfect example of why the Google Home app ruins these cameras and the user experience. The camera itself is solidly built, heavy and feels like it’s a quality product. This camera is literally the same as the standalone cameras with a magnetic light base. With a premium cost. If you don’t really need a floodlight, save yourself the cost and get a stand-alone camera. If you absolutely need a light, look at the other, cheaper, third part options that work with the camera. Googles greed here is obscene.
