      Hello there, SatisfiedPlus. We appreciate your feedback on the Nest Cam with Floodlight. The camera is considered wired to a power source (continuous power) when mounted to the floodlight. In addition, if the camera is left plugged in while unmounted, its battery drains until it reaches 80% and remains at around that level to protect the battery. Make sure to connect the magnetic power cable from the floodlight to the camera to keep the camera charged, and that the magnetic connector is fully inserted and points in the right direction, then secure it with the included screw.

    Great camera, however even though we had the free installation which we paid $150. We were told geek squad couldn’t handle this installation so we had to pay extra $125. Then the installer simply hooked the camera over the garage, i removed the old camera. He showed my wife how to use her phone. We ask him to set up hub next max, he said that wasn’t included. At the store I ask to take the new camera was told the installer needed to bring it I could of easily installed.
