If you have any existing nest cameras don't buy this!!! You will have to use 2 apps, you can't view it on the browser, you can only use the google home app even tough it literally is called nest cam. don't even bother.

The new Nest cameras and doorbells are exclusive to the Google Home app because we wanted to create an integrated experience with other Google Nest speakers and displays. We wanted to make the Google Home app as the one place you can control all your favorite Nest and other smart home devices with the Google Assistant. Google has a well earned reputation for taking a successful product and ruining it. This is no exception. Video quality is dated, and there are plenty of technical issues to boot. These range from camera connectivity issues to videos not being accessible for a considerable period, if at all. Do yourself a favor and go with a competitor’s product.

Cannot get live video as it says "unavailable. The camera may be unreachable or saving battery." I am an electrician by trade so dont ask if its installed correctly. I have three other Nest cameras from before google bought them out, Nest IQ cameras and they all work perfectly (including the software). I have a nest video doorbell and that works perfectly. I have a google wifi mesh system. I have a mesh point less than 20 feet from the camera located 9 feet high on the same wall as the camera with only the garage door between the two. I have reset the camera, removed and reinstalled the camera on my phone, tested my mesh system, my wifi speed and everyother BS excuse they come up with...bottom line is the cameras and software suck. Nest was much better off before google took them over. Rant over

The right lamps prevent it from twisting on wish there were a way to remove the lamps until installed.

Posted .Hey there, Camco. We’re sorry you ran into trouble installing your Nest Cam with Floodlight. You can remove the floodlights from the unit prior to installation — here’s how:
1. Power off.
2. Remove anti-theft screws (bottom, cord).
3. Unplug camera (removes floodlight from app).
4. Rotate floodlight clockwise to detach.
5. Hang floodlight temporarily with S hook.
6. Disconnect floodlight wires, secure power wires with wire nuts.
7. Set aside floodlight and S hook.
8. Remove caulk from mounting plate cover.
9. Unscrew and remove mounting plate cover.
10. Remove mounting plate screws and detach plate.
11. Disconnect grounding wire, secure remaining wire with wire nut.

Though connection tests may pass, keeping a stable connection might be challenging if the camera is positioned too far from the router. Additionally, network congestion due to an excess of connected devices or an inadequate bandwidth package can also disrupt camera performance. Consider disconnecting other devices to avoid congestion, or extending the network's reach with boosters or additional access points if the camera's location requires it.
