Camera is great! Covers a wide angle and resolution is very clear. We bought two since they were on sale. Great purchase, would recommend 100%

The over all camera / flood light works great. But if your expecting the camera to show up in the next app your going to be highly disappointed. You also can't get this camera to stream to nest hub max or onto a Google TV like nividia shield. This camera only shows up on Google home, and only on your mobile. Can't view from pixel book either. The nest to Google home migration is a hot mess and I was looking to go Google all in all cameras , but not now If I can't stream on TV and completely upsetting.not even on nest home max.

First, I’m not going to compare this with the Next outdoor camera because I’ve never owned one. I have used a Nest doorbell for years and I couldn’t be happier with the quality and features. So, I could compare image quality to it, but it wouldn’t be apples to apples. Also, I have used different outdoor cameras with built-in light, and I can tell you right now that the floodlight on this camera is way better. I can say that it illuminates my driveway better than most standalone floodlights. That’s where it is outstanding. Camera quality in clear days is very good but not so much in rainy days like the last few weeks where I live. It doesn’t seem to be an issue with the camera quality but with the 1080p instead of 4K resolution. I can say that because comparing with another outdoor security camera at 4K, I can see that the light output shown in both cameras images is very similar, but you can see more details in the 4K one. The good news here is that because of the bright floodlight, the image at night came out better than the 4K. I’m good with that since that’s when you need image quality the most. Its sturdiness makes you feel it will last a long time and I believe it will. Like most newer security cameras, you can set zones to prevent it from capturing movements on the street that are not relevant to you, saving not only power but also your peace of mind. My only complaint here is that the width of view is less than I hoped for. A little bit disappointing, but it makes some sense since it is designed to monitor only your property, not the whole street. Still, it could be wider. Using Google Home to control it is my preferred feature as I have lots of devices controlled by this app and Google Hub. It Very easy to set up and use. Speaking through the camera is also a nice feature. I haven’t used it yet, except for testing but it can be very useful when needed. It is easy to recommend this camera with floodlight, especially if you are willing to pay for the subscription to save the recordings, which is the only major issue that I found with this product. It is limited to recording just a few hours unless you subscribe to its service. Otherwise, it is the camera perfect camera/floodlight combo.

This was pretty easy to set up, blended into my existing nest/google home effortlessly. I have not had any problems with it so far.

Ok at best. Light is VERY sensitive. Google home app seems to strip features of the camera. The app is not exactly user friendly and makes things difficult to find.

I like the light, but it doesn’t work on the Nest app only the Google home app which is not nearly as cool as the Nest app.

The last addition i needed for my home. Popped this up right on top of out driveway entrance and it has been a good solution.

I couldn’t use the Google Nest camera with flood light because it requires a junction box and if I would have to install one, the camera would stick out another two inches from the wall, while the camera itself already sticks out more than enough. The fact that the camera can easily be taken off means it should be installed way out of reach. For me the installation requires too much effort and would require hundreds of additional dollars too get it working. I returned it unused.

Eat flood light cam on the market. Only downside is it records black and white at night even when flood light comes on.

Good Light and average feed quality. The only problem is that there is no local storage and for storing at cloud you need subscription and its expensive too.

This was an awesome camera for it's first year. Then Google decided to mess with the Nest platform, and left this floodlight out of the updates. Now this floodlight will not accept voice commands on anything. So it does not work for its advertised purpose. Worse, Google refuses to acknowledge their update in December made this camera an expensive piece of garbage. Go to Google Nest community to find out how many people who got this floodlight are complaining it doesn't work. They don't care. Steer clear. They do not have anyone still working there that knows how to fix it. Can't wait for one more bot to tell me to restart it (after I climb the 15 foot ladder, again.) Look elsewhere.

The lights are good but the camera seems to have a more narrow and longer focus than my Google Nest cams. So it would detect things from far away, like thru yard and across the street. The motion detect for the lights works well but the camera gave me several false alerts.

The camera was good when i bought it 5 months ago but lately it has been saying low battery! When its hard wired i don’t understand whats going on, but to pay all that money for it to have this problem doesnt sound right to me!

I love this product. Easy to install and setup up and integrates easily with the rest of Google's products.

Can only be used against a wall and not hung from the soffit, I was disappointed since I love nest products

Great product, it been working great and it was very simple to add with the App.

Replaced an older model Nest Outdoor Cam with this new Nest Floodlight Cam and it is great! The older camera did a nice job in daylight and had night vision, same as this camera, but the integrated floodlight and motion sensor puts it over the top. The light it puts out floods the entire backyard and I would estimate the sensor picks up motion about 30-40ft away. You can watch live and get event recording for free with this camera, although the Nest Aware subscription gives you the full history for up to 10 days and 60 days of event history. If you have multiple Nest Cams, I recommend the subscription. If you have any smart displays in the house or Chromecasts on your TV, you can ask Google Assistant to stream the camera to your screen. It's a nice feature to have for handsfree viewing if you're busy but need to check on the kids or dog. The picture is clear in the daylight and the night vision works well. You can adjust the settings to how you want the lights to come on and the level of darkness when you want the motion sensor to start activating the lights. You can also use the Home app to turn just the light on or off, adjust the level of brightness, set it so the lights come on when you're viewing the camera feed, and create zones for more accurate notifications. This camera does not work with the older Nest app as Google is moving everything to the Home app. Hopefully all of the Nest's functionality will move to the Home app soon so I don't have to switch between apps for different cameras much longer. Overall, the camera works great and the floodlights are a fantastic addition to the lineup. Installation was very simple and straightforward if you have an existing exterior light with wiring. The camera also has a battery backup so if the power goes out, it will still record events. I would definitely recommend this camera to family and friends.
