Easy to install. No charging necessary. Tons of added security and peace of mind. Also doubles as an intercom system great for communication with my son. I can also watch him in the pool while getting things done around the house.

Lights are cery broght, camera gives a clear picture and motion sensing is good. My only issue with it was the installation. It doesnt come with paper instructions and i didnt see the square i was supposed to scan until after i had started installing the pieces in the wrong order. It was pretty annoying until i saw how to get the instructions. Oh, and the wirenuts that come with it are junk. Once installed, its great!

Build quality is great and comes with all the necessary hardware for installation. Camera is hefty and has a good weight to it. The inclusion of the anti-theft wire is appreciated in the age of the penny pinching accessory market. Software installation was a breeze with the QR codes. The only gripe i had is that it is not compatible with the Nest app that my other google products are connected to and instead uses the Google Home app. Not a huge deal migrating over to the new app but was a big fan of the Nest app. Notifications are fast and responsive to human detection. My family and i were very surprised at how bright the flood lights got and even had to dial it down a bit to avoid the neighbors getting upset. Overall would highly recommend this product to friends and family.

Overall I love this camera. Crystal clear images and super bright floodlight. For some reason Google designed this product to only be installed perpendicular to a wall. I still installed it hanging from my garage awning and it works. The installation guide warns your detection area will be affected, but I found it to be more than adequate even on the lowest sensitivity setting.

Excellent camera and floodlight. The floodlight motion detector has a wide field of detection (wider than the camera), and works well. The floodlight is bright. Needs to install into an existing floodlight electrical box. If you have your floodlight attached to a switch, consider getting a switch cover to avoid accidentally turning off the light. The camera is battery powered and will record even without power to the light.

The Nest Cam with Floodlight is the perfect way to keep your home safe and secure, and to deter unwanted visitors. It's also a great way to entertain yourself by watching funny videos of people trying to sneak into your yard. I've had my Nest Cam for a few weeks now, and I've already seen some hilarious stuff. I realize that some customers may have no issues with the install and use of this item, but I've had issues with the magnetic charger. The device appeared to be working fine for a little over a week until I received a low battery warning, and the device died completely. Upon inspection (up on a ladder) and after reviewing a few Youtube videos, it was obvoius that there was a visible bluegreen corrosion on the prongs which connect to the camera. I wiped away the corrosion, and in about 5 minutes it appeared to reconnect and charge. This has since happened a few more times, usually and somewhat understandably after heavy rain. Shouldn't these units have been more carefully product tested to withstand all elements?

Expensive but was able to obtain a $90 discount. Still expensive even with the discount. The unit was easy to install and setup. I like the ability to adjust the light intensity. The unit works well and integrates nicely into the Google Home app.

Simple installation, easy to connect to the (Neat) mesh wifi, simple to adjust both the lights and the camera. It did take half a day or so for it to be recognized in my Nest Aware subscription, and for the zone setup feature to show in the Home app. Until I could create a zone, it drove me nuts with alerts. Now it works exactly like I want. I think I'll get another.

Was skeptical to spend the money for the Google flood light but glad I did. The flood lights are very bright and pick up motion from a pretty good distance. Having this wired means not needing to recharge it like the other Google cameras I have installed. Definitely worth the premium!

This camera and flood light works perfectly over my pool. I feel much safer with it back there and being able to access the image from my phone within seconds, even though my yard is fenced in. A great piece of mind!

perfect replacement to the rear sliding door light & works perfect with the other google products. Clear images & bright light. easy to use & looks modern like the doorbell. as a total tec member i got free install but it would be simple for the non tec members...i did my door bell because it wasn't free install at the time of purchase.
