Love being able to easily move the camera. Already been through multiple rainstorms with 0 issues! You can control everything through the app which makes it super simple!

I do like the facial recognition feature so I can get notifications if one of my children go outside. Only downside is that it is expensive.

So glad that google came out with cameras that are directly connected because the whole running on the battery thing is not good yet. The only issue I have is that total tech does not get free installation even though every other google camera has it.

I really like the system and the look is amazing, but the only issue I have with the light, it's the delay when someone is within range of the camera, the light takes a while before it turns on.

The video quality is amazing and installation was straightforward, and the app integration makes monitoring easy from anywhere.

Google finally delivered, and it's an OK product. The camera is mounted to the floodlight with magnets and has a nice little locking screw to keep it from getting stolen which allows it to be really nicely adjustable for best camera views. It appears as 2 devices within Google Home app, a light and a camera with a nice amount of settings to customize. The only problem is that this camera isn't visible in the old Nest app. Any old Nest cameras are visible in Google Home app, but have 1/4 of the functionality compared to the Nest app. SO you must keep both apps. It's really the stupidest decision I've ever heard. Aside from that, I hope wherever you're installing it is a little higher than most people's reach because a locking screw doesn't really keep the camera from being stolen when there's a VISIBLE CABLE HANGING OFF OF THE CAMERA THAT CAN EASILY BE CUT!!

We’re sorry to learn of your disappointment with functionality of the Google Home app, and that the camera isn’t visible in the Nest app. We also understand the importance of securing the camera and floodlight on the wall to keep it from being stolen.
We’re aware that longtime Nest users enjoy viewing their Nest camera feeds from the Nest app and web app. However, our priority with this launch was building a complete experience for our new cameras and doorbell in the Google Home app. We chose to transition to the Home app because this app is designed for the future of the smart home, a single place to set up, manage, automate, and control your home. And using the Google Home app provides you with a lot of benefits including access to Google's trusted security platform and access to other Google tools.
Here are other benefits you can also get by using the Google Home app with your Nest Cam:
- Automatic security protections such as Suspicious activity detection, 2-Step Verification and Security Checkup.
- If you have a Nest Cam and a Nest Hub, just say, "Hey Google, show me the backyard camera” to cast your camera stream to your display without any additional setup.
- One account to sign into both the Nest and Google Home apps.
- Your homes and home members will be aligned across the Nest and Google Home apps.
Nest Cam is more secure with features such as tamper detection and additional accessories such as tamper proof mounts. It can detect when Nest Cam battery is being tampered with, and will sound an alarm and alert the user when your device is removed from the mount, and is designed to provide peace of mind about potential device theft. Though the mounting plate can firmly hold the camera in place, you can secure the floodlight and the camera with the Anti-Theft screws. You can use the small screw to attach to the cover plate, and the large screw to attach to the floodlight. Then use the hex key to secure the screws in place. Your Nest camera can send an activity alert if it spots the vandal or thief, and you can also get a notification if it’s destroyed or taken out of range of your Wi-Fi network and goes offline. The email includes a snapshot of the last thing your camera saw.

Owned for 10 months when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.This camera is an excellent product, however the only issue i have with it is the fact that Google still has not provided any support of this item on the Nest application. The only way to view this camera is through the Google Home app. This also has taken away some functionality that is on the Nest app yet missing on Google. You cannot dedicate the cameras imager to a particular area like on Nest. Google home is also seemingly more clunky as compared to Nest. If you don't have any of the older Nest items, then perhaps you'll not miss this. The Image is very good and audio pickup is excellent. I can even carry on a conversation with people on the camera end as if I'm using Facetime. It was that fast. The light output from the LEDs is impressive.

We understand that longtime Nest users enjoy viewing the Nest cameras using the Nest app. However, the new Nest cameras and doorbell are exclusive to the Home app because we wanted to create an integrated experience with your speakers and displays. A Nest Aware subscription applies to all of your cameras, speakers, and displays in the same home structure. And you can view both your old and new Nest Cams together in the Home app.
The Enhance feature keeps your camera zoomed in all the time, even when you’re not watching video. However, this feature is only available for cameras and doorbells set up in the Nest app. We’ll share your feedback with the right team for future improvements. Was easy to install in place of an existing flood light. The only drawback is it does not work with the old Nest App where I have my other 2 Nest cams, only Google Home. Video quality is great.

With this feature, you can use a web browser like Chrome to view Nest cameras and doorbells that you have in the mobile Google Home app. Be advised that in order to use Google Home for web with devices originally set up with the Nest app, you will need to migrate your Nest Account to a Google Account. Great floodlight and cam.

May be a little more expensive than others, but for me, it was worth it. I read some reviews that it was hard to install, I did not have that problem. Installation was very easy.
