The Google Nest Camera cable really helped me make maximum use of the cameras. Now I don’t have to worry about the battery in the camera and have it “plugged in” all the time. I should have measured more closely on the number of feet from the camera to an outlet - although the longer cord works great!

I needed to mount my Nest Cam far from the power outlet, this cable did the trick. But the price, not sure why does it need to be so expensive

I got this cable because I wanted to get continuous recording on one of my battery powered Gen2 cameras, and also so I don't need to worry about charging that one. Charging the camera can be a little finicky. In addition I have two Gen1 cameras, including a doorbell and a wired camera. I connected the cable and wasn't getting continuous recording with my battery camera with the power cord plugged in. I called Google support. I was able to schedule an immediate callback. And I mean immediate. I pressed the Call Me button, and my phone rang. The agent determined that I only had a Nest Aware subscription, and not Nest Aware Plus, so would not get continuous recording on my Gen2 camera. I can get continuous recording on my Gen1 cameras in the Nest app with the basic Nest Aware subscription, but not in the Google Home app, which is the only way to view Gen2 cameras. It's not cheap. Nest Aware is $80 a year. Nest Aware Plus is $150 per year. I did upgrade and will try it out for a year. I don't like the "event" only recording, because you can't go back and look at video unless the camera noticed something. That's one of the issues with the battery powered cameras, and it makes sense so that your battery doesn't run down quickly. But, know that if you buy the power cord to get continuous recording, you will have to upgrade your subscription to Nest Aware Plus if you don't already have it.

Provides the power needed. That's about all you can ask. (I concur with some of the other reviewers...a little pricey but...what are you gonna do?)

This cable is defective. It constantly sends alerts that read "Empty battery. Charge Now." even though the camera is plugged in! I am so disappointed in Google. The Outdoor Battery Camera will just have to be charged when the battery runs low. Purchasing this cord to prevent from having to charge the battery was a waste of money. I, unfortunately, did not return this item sooner because I thought that it just needed to run a while. Now I'm stuck with a $40 cable that does not work at all. Pure junk. Feels like a theft.

Thank you google for making a power cord this long. The power cable is very well built and it looks like it will survive the outdoor elements.

Great product! Keeps my Nest Camera charging at all times so I don’t have to take it down all the time to charge it. Now I can get 24/7 video history in my living room!

The cord stuff working a year and a half after I bought it and even though I have total tech, Best Buy would not replace the cord for me because chords are not protected items

The manufacturer's standard power cable is very short and so we needed a longer cable to reach our outlet. This cable does the trick. Didn't want to mess with a no-name brand. Highly recommend!

Cords are really long. Just what I needed to keep the google cam connected and powered on 24hrs a day with out disconnecting to recharge. Works great.

Extremely long cable. Low profile. Easy to hide. Ships fast and arrives promptly. Nest products are solid. I usually get them at best buy, they have the best offering. A+ service. I'm a total tech member. It's worth it. My entire experience is smoother. I have had it for years and it pays for itself if you frequent Best Buy as often as I do.

This is the longest OEM cable that you can purchase for the Nest indoor/outdoor cameras. Yes the cameras are rechargeable, and yes the cameras function for up to a month between charging, these cables are convenient in high traffic areas, where the camera would see more action (use battery faster). The cable on this is around thirty feet in length, which make it sufficient to reach a camera mounted near a second story level.

I found out the hard way about these cameras. I placed them and realized about a week later. Batteries run down fasr with lots of notification. I didnt want to have to charge weeklt. I purchased two cords for each camera. Easy set uo. I now dont worry about my cameras anymore. They stream to google hub and I've got access tk outside. Im sittimg in my living room. I higly recommend if you purchased the cameras.

Overall good product! I was going to use the indoor/ outdoor camera wireless but it ended up running out of battery within a week. I got this cable and the length was perfect. It comes with a bunch of cable clips to make it look good on the wall. Overall very good quality.
