Yes yes yes. This door bell is soooooo nice. The app set up is with google so make sure that you create an account. But let me tell you, I see everything!!! I have a piece of mind now and don’t have to go look and see who is at my door. Definitely a homeowners must have. Eventually you will need a subscription to view activity that your camera catches but it is worth it. The sound quality, night vision, and video quality are all really good.

I am in love with this doorbell. It was assembled quickly and without issues. Instructions are clear on step by step. I also love the fact that it catches everything opposed to my Vivint doorbell. Everything is easy access with the home account. Looking at purchasing the hub and deadbolts next.

This camera works wonderful! Great image and make us feel more secure know what is happening around our home at all times! This camera always catches activity outside and we always get notifications for every event, which is our personal preference. We would definitely recommend this camera!

After much rereading and redoing the installation guide and finally ignoring the final picture, I was able to get it installed. (The final picture seemed to indicate the tiny center light and the outer ring should be lit to begin pairing. That was untrue.) The doorbell and camera work great! The camera could be better, but it works well. I’m impressed that I get alerts no matter where I am.

The Nest doorbell wired camera is awesome. The installation with the step by step instructions are very detailed and is easy to follow. The camera is very sensitive it was picking up vehicle movement at a great distance. It also picked up an firework going off at 12/31/2022 see the attached picture. I am very pleased with this purchase.

Awesome upgrade from the 1st generation the previous model is completely terrible constant shutting down due to cold weather loses charge quickly.

Great picture quality and connecting with the google home app couldn’t be easier. Set up and installation didn’t take longer then 10 min at the most

Overall good quality. Big improvement on aesthetics. Had the old one and while it looked nice and shiny new it quickly started cracking on what looks like plexiglass. Bought this newer one because the older one stopped working. My only problem with it is that they flipped the design on the base plate for the screw hole slots. I had to make new holes in the wall because they were different as far as the mounting holes go. The screw hole that has a horizontal slot for fine tuning vertical alignment has been switched around to the top i think it was. Other than that, i would recommend it either way.

I love my google products and this one is right there to but I do have just a couple of things that I feel are downgrades from it’s predecessor. I feel the wide camera view was much better before and the biggest issue I have is having to move from the nest app to google home. Home is fine but nowhere near the functionality of the nest app. I hope this decision is reversed or the google home camera functionality is modified to be more similar to nest.

Love this doorbell. Was the last thing I need to add to my new house to make it a smart house. Works great and I love getting the notifications about when my packages are delivered.

I upgraded from the older model doorbell and the quality of this one is night and day. The picture is so clear and easy to set up. I love it.

Works Great! Very Crisp and clean pictures of video. Alerts are fast along with setting parameters of detections.

Amazing screen! Easy to put together (definitely have 2 people). The included LED light strip really accentuates the viewing atmosphere.

This item was recently installed on an older home from the 40s. The transformer (doorbell lines connect to) needed to be changed to 16vac/30va as there was not enough electrical current output causing the light on the doorbell to be yellow with no video access After, replacing, the light turned green. Everything works.

Easy to setup, great feature set especially if you already have other Nest smart home devices.

Were you also surprised that Google's still in the smart home game? Me too! Well here's their Doorbell. It's.... meh. The Google Home app feels like it's been under construction for the past 5 years. It still feels like that. It's super clunky to use. Camera feeds load very slowly. It's not intuitive to search through saved videos or download sections of video. It is buggy and crashes too often. These aren't new issues with the Google Home app, and for that alone, I wouldn't recommend this product. If the Software doesn't work well, the Hardware doesn't matter. But let's talk about the Hardware anyways. Google took the camera and turned it sideways so it shows a tall view instead of a wide view. The claim here is so that you can see packages on the ground with only one camera (i guess some doorbells use two?) It kinda works. I never really thought that was an issue though... although it does seem like a very Google thing to tell you they fixed a problem that was never a problem in the first place. The camera quality is.... quite bad. Actually not just quite bad.. it's really bad. Google has this feature where it tries to recognize faces and you can assign names to them. The camera is so bad, it mixes up faces all the time and is EXTREMELY unreliable. You can't make out facial features all that well, colors are really dull and muted. And then there's the shell. I don't know why, but people seem to struggle to find the doorbell button. To me, it's obvious. It's a ring of light and it lights up and gets excited when you walk up to it. But no one can seem to find the button!! They all end up pressing the camera... Why do they even bother?

I used the first gen of Google Nest doorbell for five years (2019-2024) with nest aware to save 5 days of video for $50 y. After I upgraded to this second gen I had issues with the video history and face detection. The Nest Aware subscription didn’t work with the new device. As a result. I had to change the subscription to a more expensive plan ($80), it saves just video clips, not the 24x7 video. If you like the previous version and are thinking about upgrading, I would recommend not to, or consider evaluating other door bells before buying it. Another aspect to consider is, the wired version without the 24x7 doesn’t worth. You can use a battery version to get just clips. Lastly, when someone rings the doorbell, the video delays too much to display in the Google Display or in the phone.

The Nest Wired is a pretty good video doorbell. Video quality is average though. The installation was not difficult. The app is easy to use and must be downloaded to access the camera and video. The app automatically stores any motion detected video for you to review. However the free version of the app only retains video clips withing last 3 hours. Not 3 hours of clips. Clips from the last 3 hours ONLY. The subscription seems like a good deal though and that will retain weeks of clips. It's easy to download a video clip if you need to. Basically one tap. The real drawback though is that there appears to be NO time and date stamp on the saved video when you download it. It appeared to have the meta data for the video only. As in when you download the video that is the creation time and date. Not the actually time and date that the RECORDING was captured. That's not very useful if you had to use a video clip as a piece of evidence. We did install the chime protector. That was pretty easy. There was one phantom ring since we installed the doorbell. Overall it's a good doorbell and one of the only ones that I am aware of that will connect to a WIFI network with WPA3.
