The camera gets afternoon sun that had caused overheating issues with the previous model. I believe this model in all white will fare better. I had issues with video not archiving at first, but I replaced the old doorbell transformer (16v/10a) with a 16v/30a transformer. All issues went away and it works great now. The only issue is it doesn't automatically switch to night vision at night because of a few bright lights in front of the house, leaving a dark spot at the every way. The new home app is also a significant improvement after the loss of the Nest app.

When night vision is set to Auto, your device will switch between normal and night modes when the light gradually changes. We recommend setting your device's night vision to Always On. The night vision will stay on until you manually set it to Auto or Off, even if there's plenty of ambient light.
