It's awesome and my wife loves that there are seasonal chimes. She chuckles every time she hears a "gobble gobble" from the Thanksgiving themed chime.

Installation is easy if you follow along with the directions using the app. Inside the chime box, the newer model has less wires than the 1st generation one did. Instead of using the converter, you just attach the wires directly. Once installed I was getting too much wall on the right side of the camera, so I took it down and put it back up with the included wedge installed. That gave me a camera angle I desired, You need to use the Google Home app and might have to change the notification settings if you want to get the activity notifications to your device.

Matches the color of my house and doesn't look out of place like some other doorbells. I'm glad I went with the wired instead of the battery operated one. That thing is almost twice the size.

Somehow I think it’s worse than the original nest hello I replaced which is sad. It disconnects a lot which is very annoying. I’m not sure if it’s the new software or what it’s just not as reliable. Highly annoyed I bought it as a supposed upgrade.

Really impressive doorbell

Also I love that let me know when a package arrives or someone take the package . I will absolutly recomend it. Crispy image at night and day. It looks more like 2k

As we already have a Google home setup it simply became part of it. The video cam is good in terms of recording, anudio and clarity of clips plus offers different chimes too for the bell. One can get the nest aware Subscription for more detail options but so far we are fine with the 3hrs free recording. It’s not too difficult to install as the instructions are quite clear while we followed a YouTube review also for the same for clarity.

The picture and sound quality both seem to be improved over the previous version.

This one has a much clearer picture. I don’t like that it only works with the Google Home app vs. the old Nest App. To me, the old Nest App was much easier to use and had more features.

However, our priority with this launch was building a complete experience for our new cameras and doorbell in the Google Home app. Meanwhile, We suggest having the latest version of the Google Home app that may improve camera playback controls to make it easier to play, pause, and navigate between events from the camera history view for cameras set up in the Google Home app.
