The notifications in the Google Home app are set to off by default. You won't receive alerts about activity in your home, such as if a camera detects motion or if someone has rung the doorbell. Clear video feed. Been running for several weeks with no issues.

I get notifications on my phone but im not always home and the wife is and all the package delivery conpanies dont ring doorbells anymore it’s ridiculous lol.

Especially given the recent Eufy breach of trust - I'm extremely glad to have only tried their product for a short while. Using this latest wired version of the Google Doorbell without a subscription gives me 99% of the features that I want, and it's reliable by factors of magnitude more than the competition for the price.

The first died during a thunderstorm and was replaced by Google under warranty. The second died during an ice storm. Both apparently couldn't take a power surge. Still, both provided a clear view of my driveway and walk. The current one does the same but with increased resolution. I can zoom in to see exactly what's happening across the street. Hopefully with the addition of a surge protector, this one will last longer than 4 years.
