Took months to decide between this and ring, but it works so easy with phone and other Google displays. One app on my phone for doorbell, security camera, hue lights, thermostat and smart displays.

It's replacing another video doorbell that was previously installed on my house. I wish the picture angle was a bit wider, but other than that, it's great to use. Install wasn't bad, even for a very new DIY-er like myself.

Otherwise the chime will NOT work. I purchased a transformer and it took about 15 minutes to install, afterwards, the chime worked.

It also determines animals vs people. Great item to have. The talk back feature seems to not work so much but maybe its my internet since im in a bery rural area.

We suggest trying the simple steps below that might help:
- Check the Google Home app or Nest app permissions:
- For Android devices: Go to the phone’s Settings > Apps > Google Home or Nest Permissions, and make sure the Microphone is enabled.
- For iOS devices: Go to the device’s Settings > Google Home > Permission, and make sure the Microphone is enabled.
- Test if the device’s microphone is working.
- Open the default voice recorder app or any other app that uses your device’s microphone and test the device’s microphone on the app.
- Check if the device is connected to a Bluetooth device that may be serving as the microphone.

Installation process was moderately easy. Instructions in the box was a link to a video of instructions. Overall its a good product to upgrade your home to “smart”

We've taken note of your feedback and we'll certainly take this into consideration when working on new features with our products and services. Meanwhile, you might want to try using the wedge for a better camera view. You can install the wedge then position the baseplate plate over the wedge with the G positioned upright and use the wedge screws to secure it in place. Then attach the doorbell to the baseplate, align the circle at the bottom of the doorbell to the hole at the bottom of the baseplate, and push the doorbell in then down until you feel it click into place. Killed my doorbell so I had to buy a new one. It hasn't been the same since. Told me it was bc my doorbell was old, it worked perfectly before he installed it, but now not at all.
