That's my reason for 4 stars. However, I do know that if the view was wider we'd lose some of that picture quality. Bitter sweet.

We understand that a wider viewing angle would be nicer, however, Nest Doorbell (Wired, 2nd Gen) comes with a 145° diagonal field of view that should provide enough viewing angles to capture those important moments. And if you would like to get a better view of the scene on your door, you may want to try using the 20° wedge that comes in the box. We’re sorry to learn it didn’t work with your chime, and that you ran into this concern with the installation after getting the suggested chime. The Nest Doorbell (wired, 2nd gen) has a voltage requirement of 16 to 24 VAC and a power requirement of 10 to 40 VA. You can usually find the system transformer’s voltage information inside the doorbell’s chime box, as well as in or near the breaker or fuse box. If you still have to call someone for help with installation, we suggest reaching out to your retailer. Or you may contact a Nest Pro certified tech to help you with your installation needs. Bit frustrated but understand Google likes doing things their way similar to the Fitbit fiasco. The doorbell works and has great image quality despite the incompatibility. If you use Google home or not in the Nest ecosystem, this doorbell is for you.

The camera quality is amazing and clear for night viewing as well. Need to purchase nest aware I think get all of the benefits this doorbell can do (going to purchase soon). The camera view is wide and clear, day or night. Microphone works well for two-way communication too.

A constantly cuts off and says that it doesn't have power. It also claims that it doesn't have access to Wi-Fi. The problem is, I have other outdoor cameras and devices hooked up to Wi-Fi that have no problem. I gave them the benefit of the doubt because I know that my internet originally was really terrible. But I recently changed over internet service providers to one that is much better and much faster and have had no issues with any of my other devices. This one still constantly disconnects and has problems capturing video. I plan on returning this as soon as humanly possible and replacing it with something more competent. Google has really dropped the ball on all of their devices with their inability to maintain their devices and terrible customer service.

1. Check the wire voltage: An upgraded power transformer may be needed if voltage and power requirements are not met.
2. Check your Wi-Fi network or router settings: Incompatible Wi-Fi settings can cause your camera or doorbell to disconnect or appear Offline in the app.
3. Check the app version: Make sure you have the latest version of the Google Home app to get the latest features and bug fixes.

Easy install and setup. Does NOT use legacy nest app, but rather the google home integration app. Major increase in resolution of camera and network speed.
