This product is fantastic! My family and I love it, we can use our phone to set the temperature and monitor it from any and everywhere. I told all of my friends about it. I would buy this again and again.

This thermostat is among my favorite smart home gadgets along with my irobot. The money being saved pays for the product eventually. The modern and expensive looking design is a plus.

Setup was easy to do on my own (not super handy here either), and the thermostat works perfectly, syncs easily with the app, and looks great. I'm not sure the "learning" it does over time really saves much on the bill (for us anyways), but love the thermostat!

This thermostat has not only helped reduce my power bill, but it has also figured out that I like it cool at night to sleep and not so cool during the day while I'm working at the computer. Additionally, it seems that it might even sense our house plants because they are looking much better than they used to!

I have held off getting this for some time now because I figured I would need a pro to install but no! This was so easy to install. If I can do it anyone can do it. Loving it so far. eco mode when I'm away from the house is really saving energy for me. Also I like that I can run the fan whenever I want

This is my third nest thermostat. I have been very impressed. I have one upstairs and one downstairs. This one was purchased for my son’s house. They are efficient and learns your routine so you don’t waste energy when you’re not home.

I love my nest. I have two of them in my house and they are super easy to use both on the device and through the web interface. I just wish they were about $100 bucks cheaper.

I think the Nest is great. I had an issue with people adjusting the thermostat and I’m in and out of my house a lot. It’s great to be able to turn it on anywhere. I also like the custom screens a lot for the display to show weather outside and that stuff. What I don’t like is the learning due to how variable it is that I am home and I also have issues with being able to remotely connect to it via the app. Other than that, it’s fantastic so that drops it a star. You can buy cheaper thermostats that will do the trick but we love the Nest. After just a couple of weeks of use, it’s has learned our pattern. No more nights of forgetting to turn the heat down when going to bed because it has already done it for us. I also love being able to adjust the temp from my phone!

Installation wasn’t easy with my dual fuel system. After spending about 4 hours troubleshooting with Nest, they agreed to reimburse me for the cost of professional installation. Once installed properly, no problems. It’s been a great thermostat and I have seen a noticeable difference on the power bill.

The Nest smart thermostat has been great addition to the home. I love the fact that I can view and change the temperature from the comfort of the couch or bed. I like the fact that I can set a schedule and forget about it. I haven't taken advantage of the "smart" aspect of the thermostat yet. I also paired it with the new temperature sensors to use the information specifically from the room that I want to cool. I really can't imagine going back to the old school thermostats.

Very easy to install. The app works flawlessly but you can get confused with the many features this thermostat provides. I dont like the fact that it complains the internet connection is not stable and the thermostat wont recognize "away" status. I find that wrong since I have the nest indoor and outdoor cameras and they turn on automatically everytime we leave the house, so not sure why does the thermostat complain. Shoutout to the customer service. Very prompt in replying to emails and easy to chat with

Very happy with this purchase. I used to have to turn on the light and get my glasses in order to read the temperature reading. I was worried it would be difficult to install but the unit and the directions were user friendly and it was a quick install!

This is a great thermostat with a friendly interface on the device and the mobile app. It learned my preferences within couple days and adjusts the temperature as necessary. I don't have the "C" wire, but the thermostat works fine by drawing power through the RH wire. It integrated well with our HVAC.

Too early to tell how much money it's saving, but daily history reviews and first Nest monthly report seem promising. Controls our forced air AC, gas heat, fan, and whole house humidifier perfectly. Even will circulate air (heat) with fan while humidifying to maintain target temperature and target humidity without using gas. Works well with a myriad of 3rd party apps. Strongly suggest IFTTT, ThermoStats, Yonomi, and maybe even the Wink app, whether or not you have their hub. Loves: Auto away mode and "nest sense" features. Eco settings. Heat/Cool as a single mode. Didn't love: The nest is supposed to learn from your behaviour... your temperature preferences at certain times set. It's supposed to learn your schedule. It should be "learned" in 9-14 days and then continually refine is program. After 5 weeks, ours still hasn't learned. After a call with tech support and some experimentation, have discovered it doesn't learn times or temperasure from manually setting ECO mode. To teach it, you must manually change target temperatures in a heat or cool mode. Basically, you'll have to teach it twice, once per season. The lack of operation instruction included really sucks and would have helpful here. From an experienced user/tester to a prospective buyer: Yes, we forsee this paying for itself. Don't let the "Didn't love" comment scare you. Buy it. Install it. Install the Nest app on anyone's phone who frequently visits the place/house (family, trusted babysitter, grandparents, children). Take the three minutes to manually program temperature (heat AND cool) preferences based on sleep schedule only. Enable all features of "Nest Sense" from the owners app. Disable on-thermostat motion detection if you have large or many pets. The Nest will the know when you've left the house. It doesn't matter if it's scheduled work or school, or an unscheduled pleasure outing. You won't have to wait for it to learn anything this way, even from day one, if you follow these steps. Let the nest handle the rest and enjoy the savings.
