Easy to install for someone who doesn't know anything. It looks SO nice. People comment on how nice it looks. Actually they don't, because it's in my bedroom. But I imagine them doing it every time I see it because it looks that nice. The shiny form factor is worth it alone. It works well, and it knows when I'm not home so it can save me money when I'm away! What's not to love? Also, spinning it to set the temp feels premium. I've never felt a premium knob before I spun the nest. Now other knobs feel cheap and I can't stand spinning them.

I bought this because there was a rebate going on from GA Power. I had already been looking to replace my 15 year old digital thermostats and the rebates pushed me to going ahead and doing it sooner than later. Enough about the process.. I bought two and have to say that these have exceeded my expectation. They look AND work great, I can control them remotely and track how often your heat/cooling runs. While I've only had these for a month, I can't necessarily say they've saved me money, but the temperature in the house stays much more consistent than when my old thermostats were in control. Installation and setup were easy.

I did need help getting this thermostat installed. However, it is easy to use. I like that it can connect to your phone allowing you to remotely turn on your thermostat. This is especially helpful on these recent hot summer days to come back to a cool house. Alternatively, you can set a scheduled timer for the thermostat too.

This is not the first Nest product I have had. The whole Eco system compliments and integrates with each other. Smoke/Carbon monoxide detectors work alongside the thermostat as well as the Nest Hello doorbell. They all have the most comprehensive and easy to follow installation instructions as well as simple Wi-Fi connectivity steps. The app let's you see and control everything from your phone. Besides all of that these are very modern looking and state of the art devices to save energy and protect your home. Very highly recommended!

Received excellent one-on-one service in Best Buy Appliance Dept. Employee walked me to the unit and back to his desk; confirmed I had 15 days to return if it didn't work with my new Central A/C; and completed the sale. Installation was stupid simple, since I went to the NEST website before Best Buy to confirm the existing wiring to my new dumb thermostat was compatible. Anyone reading this, please do that before purchase and save yourself a possible headache. Created NEST account online, installed iPhone NEST app and linked thermostat to account and app. Then linked iPhone LUTRON Caserta app to it since I have a LUTRON bridge.

I have installed Nest thermostats in two houses now and they are great! They are solid, well made thermostats that not only perform a variety of functions , but they look good too. They are easy to install if you follow the instructions, and they really do learn your preferences, allowing the heat/air to run to your desired temperatures when you are home and revert to your pre-set defaults when you are away. Being internet /cell phone connected, they tell you the outside weather forecast and the digital or analog clocks keep you on time! They pay for themselves as they manage your energy usage.

I like the NEST Learning Thermostat so much that I have 5 of them. The primary reason is that (1) it is very easy to use (2) it brands in nicely with the room wall (3) controls remotely with iPad, iPhone, ... (4) very easy to setup scheduling (5) energy saving via smart sensing,,, I did setup all 5 thermostats by myself... however, for those who may not be familiar with the fundamental thermostat theory... it is better to call professional to install. The bottom line - I saved a lot of money on the heating bill!!!

This thermostat is amazing. The instructions for installation are very easy. It only took me about 20 minutes to install it. Looks great. The interface is very user friendly. The thermostat runs checks to make your system is working properly and then learns your habits based on your settings for a few days to save you money. You can also control the thermostat from your smart device via the app and integrate into your compatible smart hub such as wink. A report is sent to you via email monthly to let know your energy consumption. I highly recommenced this thermostat and could not be happier.

I've been wanting to install smart thermostats for a while now. I was concerned that I wouldn't be able to use these since my older home doesn't have a C wire. Installation was straightforward and simple. I installed 3 thermostats and they all work perfectly. I have them synced with Alexa voice activation so I can adjust the temperature with my voice. Nest app was a little slow getting set up but it works just fine now. Great product and looks much better than the old school ones I had before.

We are very happy with the Google Nest. It was very easy to install (I did go to Youtube to get a better understanding of the wiring) and only took about 30 minutes to install. We typically keep the thermostat off because of our mild climate but when the temperature does get extreme, the wifi capability is great when we want the house temperature set comfortably before we get home. The nest is very intuitive to operate and looks great on the wall.

We bought 2, upstairs and downstairs. The instructions were really easy to follow. Our house is a little older, so we did have to manually connect an extra, exisiting wire to be the C-wire. Totally worth it. It's only been a month and it's the middle of summer, so it's hard to say if it's saving us money on energy usage, but it's so nice to be able to drop the temp from the app. Programming a schedule is easy, and it just looks so slick on the wall.

I’ve had my eye on the Nest Learning Thermostat for about a year, reading a lot of reviews before finally purchasing. Replacing our old thermostat with the Nest was very easy, though getting it seated so we could do the set up was frustrating. We finally got it seated correctly, but it took several tries. If that happens to you, don’t give up! Make sure all the wires are securely in place, too. It works well with our heat pump. Our home has remained at a comfortable temperature and the Nest learned our habits within a week.

This is a great improvement for the old thermostat we used to have. Easy to install and configure, works great with our Google assistant. From time to time it disconnects from wifi after checking the connection it reconnects and continue working without problems.

During my routine furnace maintenance this fall, I asked the serviceman about installing a smart thermostat. He said that it would cost me about $125 if they did it, but he removed the cover of my previous thermostat and labeled all the wires for me so that I could install the Nest myself. This was very helpful, because not every system used exactly the same colors and codes. Installation was very easy except for one wire I wasn't 100% sure about, so I called Nest support and spoke with a technician. He checked the information about my existing thermostat and was able to clarify the confusion for me. I mention this because I was very impressed with the speed and efficiency of the customer service. As for the Nest itself, I love it. Setup was easy: you connect it to your WiFi network and answer some questions (language, location, etc.) and you're good to go. The app is good and shows you what you need to know. The Nest will "learn" your usual routines and if you are usually gone during a certain time of day, it will reduce the temperature. You are always free to override this if you happen to be home, or just want it warmer or cooler . What I noticed right away was that my furnace only kicks into the highest fan speed in the morning when the house has to warm up from having been set at a lower temperature all night. During the day, I rarely hear the fan at high speed, unlike with my previous thermostat. I also like that you select the temperature just by rotation the outer dial, which is a lot easier and more convenient than hitting little up and down arrows. The temperature shows when you are within range of the thermostat and it's easy to read from a distance. As you approach the Nest, it shows you what the thermostat is set to. The display also shows the outdoor temperature and indoor humidity. I bought mine on sale, and also got a $100 rebate from my utility company since I have both gas and electric from them.

Enjoy our new Nest system. We wave a two story home with separate up & down stairs thermostats. We installed tw nest thermostats. Setup was easy and the nest system learned our daily schedule. Manually setting away / home mode from our iPhone / iPad is easy. Temp adjustments are quick. One screen on our iPhones showing an overview of both is helpful. Detail screens showing usage info was eye opening. I am planning on expanding the system with other "works with nest" and IFTTT products for an overall home energy efficient (lower utility bill) system.

Great thermostat. Looks awesome, very easy. Only gripe I have is I make the range and it constantly changes it. Its constantly thinking, perhaps too much. and you'd think it would learn that i keep putting it back. But i like the range and the eco is cool. Overall its awesome and easy to use with the app. Love that i can change the temp away from home.

Absolutely love this thing. Upgraded from old thermostat to this Nest. It works flawlessly and setup was a breeze. It is easy to use and the app is great. We can control it from anywhere. We didnt realize how bad our old thermostat was not reading or working correctly until we installed this jewel. I would not go any other way, they are definitely worth the extra money.

Been using for 2 years now and enjoy how easy it is to use. Can set heat and cool to keep house at any temperature range you want. Helps with the spring and fall days where it can be hot one day and then cold on the next day. Appreciate being able to adjust through my phone to change from another floor in the house, or adjust when on vacation.
