The coolest thermostat around. Really easy to install and use. Works great and looks nice on the wall

We had a single direction thermostat (it either heats or cools or is off) prior to purchasing the Nest. In central NC, that's not a good solution as we have days that have 40-degree swings between the daily high and low. Install of the Nest is super simple. They even provide the screw driver. Easy interface to connect to wi-fi. You can run it from the unit, on your cell phone, or over Alexa. Highly recommend

Working great so far ..We have been using for the last 1*year..it works perfectly..no issues..schedules/ease of use.We have replaced the traditional thermostat(honeywell) with this one and very happy with the purchase...

This was super easy to install. I’m not handy and it took less than 10 minutes. I used the included wall plate to cover up the holes in my wall. Looks really good. We love the ability to change the temperature from anywhere. We also synced with Alexa. It’s really great and highly recommend.

Set a schedule for what you want the temp to be and what time. Can have it start cooling down when you’re on the way home from work and have eco temp set when you’re gone to save money on your bill. Control everything with your voice or phone. Can also be manually controlled with the wall unit but I never do. Looks good. Works great. I have one for upstairs and one for downstairs.

Can't beat this beautiful piece of tech. It is so intuitive and efficient. It learns your schedule well or you can easily change it manually. Love seeing those "green leafs" daily for efficiently managing my usage. It also works flawlessly with the Google Nest Home system including the Google Home devices and doorbell/cams. I switched both Ecobee3 we had in our home and never looked back.

I've been reading about the Nest thermostat for many years and believed it was overpriced for what I thought it could do. I didn't realize that it has algorithms built in to use the outside temperature (obtained from Weather Channel) and the indoor temperature to "learn" how long the heat will have to run to get the house to the desired temperature. We also love how the device lights up and shows us the outside temperature (configurable between time, outdoor temperature, indoor temperature and other options). We use this constantly and no longer depend on our outside thermostat. After a few days of owning this, we started realizing that it was predicting where we set the thermostat. Our old electronic thermostat had our own schedule defined but I've been lazy between winter and summer to adjust the schedule, so would resort to using the 'hold' button. With this Nest, I don't have to do that...it seems to know our desired temperature patterns, just as advertised. It has done a better job predicting it than I would have expected. We installed without the common wire for a few days. There was an unused blue wire in my wall, and I found that it wasn't connected in the furnace, either. After a few days of pondering it, I decided to hook the blue wire up to the 'C' on the control panel and then tested and confirmed about 25 volts coming from the panel. I then made use of the extra blue wire in my wall to give it a common power source. I know having a common wire is rare in most households, but my house is less than 10 years old and we were lucky that 5 wires (for AC and heater) were sent up - and it was simple for me to add it. I know the Nest guide says it isn't necessary, but I wasn't sure what the affect of 'pulsing' the heater would be, so I wanted to take full advantage of a constant power source. My 8 and 10 year old kids have found the device really nice to see the outside temperature, and find that moving the temperatures to be easy (though they haven't had a need). We have not yet hooked the Nest up to our Amazon Alexa device, but intend to. I've only had it for two weeks during the winter season, so we have yet to know how well this works during the summer. I must also say that the 'unboxing' process was also impressive, and was surprised that a screwdriver came in the box (both flat and philips reversible). It is now my favorite "kitchen screwdriver" for opening up small toys - it's heavy and too good to throw away. I was surprised that it was included in the box. I didn't need the back plastic plate to cover the previous screw holes because I was willing to repair the holes left behind by my old thermostat, though I thought it was a nice touch to have it included.

We purchased the Nest thermostat for our beach home so we could control the HVAC remotely, but now we are considering one for our primary home as well! This device not only can be controlled remotely, via a phone app, it will learn your heating and cooling patterns! If you go to bed and do not set it to "your" normal sleeping temperature, it will set it for you and reset it to the normal temperature you would maintain during the day! Terrific!

It’s easy to use manually and with the app. It’s been amazing having it plus it gives you reminders to change the air filter every 3 months. I highly recommend it to everyone

Purchased the Nest Learning Thermostat to replace an earlier version that had stopped working after several years. Installation was a snap including connecting to wifi which now can be accomplished from the Nest app…a major improvement from the previous one. The ability to control the device from the app is a major convenience.

GREAT FOR MY HOUSE NOT FOR BUSINESS UNITS, IN MY HOUSE I HAVE 2, BUT NOT COMPATIBLE WITH MY BUSINESS A/C, AFTER 2 MONTHS SHUTS DOWN BY ITSELF, CAN RETURN IT AND GOOGLE CUSTOMER SERVICE SAID THE UNIT IS OK, SIMPLY NOT GOOD FOR COMMERCIAL UNITS. I CANT DO A BAD REVIEW BECAUSE IN MY HOUSE THEY WOTK PERFECT, SAVE A LOT OF MONEY MONTHA MONTH. MY BAD I DIDNT DO THE PROPER RESEARCH.

We love our nest thermostat. It was pretty easy to install and I was worried about that. The eco mode saves us money and the system learns our preferences for our settings. I highly recommend this.

At first I wasn't sure if I really wanted to spend this much money on a smart thermostat, but I've wanted one for a while so I decided to pull the trigger. As soon as I took it out of the package I was really impressed with the quality of this thermostat. The look, the feel, and everything else about it was top of the line. It was a breeze to install, easy to use and I haven't had a single issue with it. I should have bought one a long time ago.
