I bought the Nest smart thermostat and love it already. Setup was pretty easy, and now were just training it. But it is already intuitively making adjustments at night and in the morning based on our schedule. I am able to adjust it from my phone when I'm leaving work. Right now we have it hooked up to the our Google Home as well, so I can adjust it by telling google, without getting up. Nice feature. Waiting to see if and how the bills are actually affected though.

Easy to install and use Gives accurate information through the app

The Nest gives me the control I want and need for the cooling and heating of my home. Not only is it much more user friendly than your typical thermostats but having the option to control the temperature while I'm away is such a nice option to have. Now that I've owned it a couple months now I find I am adjusting the temperature way less. This is due to how the Nest learning my habits and automatically adjusting to them. It does exactly what the company advertises folks.

I haven't done a lot with it yet. The setup was simple. Turn off the breaker. take off the current thermostat. Mark the wires with the labels that are in the package. Connect the new one. The Nest boots itself up and guides you through the setup. It finds your home wifi signal. I downloaded the app which works just as described. Two other things that I love about it is that it lights up when you walk past it, and that it knows the weather because you put in a zip code in the setup.

The nest was easy to install. Some of the functions could use improvement. My unit runs much longer after reaching target cooling temp. . Seems as though the ambient temperature on the display is not very sensitive. I do not like the fact that in order to run the fan only, it automatically turns the system on even with a dedicated wire for fan, and for a timed duration. there are dashes in between temperature settings but yet Fahrenheit displays only whole numbers. The optional temperature sensors can not average the temperature and use that as the ambient temperature. The off site control of the unit via the nest app is the biggest advantage.

I've tried both ecobee and nest thermostats and eventually went back to nest. Aside from the "learning" capabilities of the nest, I found the user experience is overall better with the nest thermostats. It is simple to use and more straight forward. One simple feature i like that i found very useful is the fact that the display changes colors between heating (orange), cooling (blue) and not running or off (gray). So you can tell whether the air conditioning unit is running or not from across the room or in your bed without even heading to the thermostat. Another big difference i found between Nest and Ecobee is the connectivity of the mobile app. I noticed the ecobee app doesn't update the status as quick or as consistently as the nest app does. For example i would change the temp on the ecobee thermostat and would noticeable a delay before the new temp updates on the app , sometimes a few seconds, sometimes up to a minute. Other times i would go to use the ecobee app and find that it has logged off and is asking me to log back in. The nest app updates more frequently and is more consistent. Most of the times the changes you make on the thermostat are instantaneous on the app, at most you may have a 5-10 sec delay.

Nice look, easy to install and works very well I really recommend it.

Love this! Just as easy to use as it is to install. The installation steps are all on the app. It is step by step. There's even pictures for those hesitant on installing this on their own. Very easy to setup and operate through the app. Set a schedule on the app. Very convenient.

I have 2 - extremely simple to install in about 15 minutes and made our old RobertShaw thermostats feel completely archaic. I’m sure the same is true with any smart thermostat but I’m a sucker for the Nest design and the ring based interface. Learning and scheduling couldn’t be simpler and the interface with google assistant and home hub is flawless. Highly recommend home hub as a remote control option.

Installed Nest Thermostat in about 15 minutes using screwdriver provided. Took picture of wiring first , hooked it up and mounted it. Has already saved us more than it cost. Being able to control from app allows you to shut it down when gone and turn on before you get back. Also learns schedule. Very easy to use as well. I went and purchased the Nest smoke/Co2 alarms as well to bring house up to code. They are also awesome and work off same app. Next is camera(s)1

I had a hard time devising which smart thermostat to buy, but after reading reviews and doing a lil research I decided to go with the NEST. I love that it was easy to install which I did myself and I'm a female plus it looks and works great. I get tons on compliments on it. I would recommend it to anyone who loves to control the thermostat from anywhere they are. I have not had it long enough to notice a change in my excel bill. Overall I'm very happy with my purchase.

Once installed, the Nest worked great. It's simple / intuitive to operate. It will be a while until I can see how much, if any it impacts energy usage. Check your electricity provider for rebates/discounts. I could have bought my Nest from my provider with a $100 discount. In my case, installation was complex even for my ac/heating service company due to the nature of my system which has dual fuel and a steam humidifier. They had to do some significant rewiring and replace a part of the existing system. For some systems, the install can be much simpler such that even a non-mechanically inclined person can easily do it. In my case, professional installation (and an additional part) was needed and cost more than the Nest device.

Wow! This thing is cool. Works like it says and was so easy to set up. The Nest support team was amazing. Never has any product had better support. After everything was mounted and hooked up, the setup process was simple. After three days it new my schedule and has the house warm when I need it to be. And if I want to change something from work I just login and change it from my phone. (That's right Kids, Ole Dad is watching) Don't let the price scare you off. It's worth it.

Before I purchased Nest, I was very apprehensive about installing it by myself. There is no way I am paying $200+ to have this item installed. However, Nest has a very good 6-minute video that walks you through how to install Nest from beginning to end. After watching that, I felt more confident, but I was still worried about drilling a hole in my wall (sheet rock). I was able to communicate with Nest representative right away - they have 24/7 service - and have my questions answered. The day I installed Nest I was able to walk through each step carefully as provided by the instruction, and when I got stuck I was able to call the Nest rep immediately. Within 45 minutes my Nest was up and running, and I have 0 handyman skills. There was very little to set up, and I really enjoyed how Nest learned my preferences after a week, and I was able to adjust it once the weather changed. I also felt my AC wasn't blasting air as violently as it was using the old thermostat, and my house is feeling more comfortable when I arrive home. I haven't had Nest long enough to see any bill changes yet, but with how much setting you can use the Nest for I think I can adjust it enough to start saving me some money. P.S.: Nest also works seamlessly with my Amazon Echo, and it really feels great to be ablet to control your AC by voice.

It works great in my living area! Automatically adjusts temperature which is convenient. Older one worked 4 years after that didnt software update and stopped geating.

I bought this 3rd gen Nest for my mother in law but have owned 1st and 2nd gen Nests in my other homes. Installation is pretty simple and it has worked with both of the systems I've connected them to. After a few weeks, Nest learns your schedule and starts setting temperatures for you (as well as turning off the heat/Air conditioning when you're not home). I don't have an apples to apples comparison year over year but it feels as if my utility bills were a bit cheaper.

I would highly recommend for ease of use and that I can control the temp from my phone. If your looking to save money on your heating and cooling costs I would highly recommend.

The installation of the Nest Thermostat is pretty straightforward. Make sure you verify your control unit wires are compatible before you purchase. Also, make sure you know what type of AC/Heater type you have (multi-stage, ect...). After two months of having it installed, I have saved roughly $150 each month. The remote capabilities are also a nice feature for those that would like to use it in a summer/winter home.

Easily installed with provided instructions or online video. Matched the decor and is already learning family heating/cooling patterns. Great addition for upstairs second unit.
