This thermostat is great. With the learning feature and home away assist, I’m already seeing improved energy usage and a reduced electric bill. It’s also amazing to be able to change the temp on the phone and not have to walk to the thermostat. ;)

Just purchased this and I am using it for the first time. It was easy to install and wire. Had some trouble setting up the app. Took about a dozen times where it was in a locked up status. Tried to set it up on several different devices with the same issue. Finally got it to download to my phone. After that, everything was easy and the app is also easy to use. Looking forward to using this thermostat to keep the house at a comfortable temp and help guide me to save energy and money. I am only giving it 4 stars instead of 5 because of the hour I wasted trying to setup the app.

Got two of these in my home and they are great. I bought an Ecobee and one of these at the same time and I prefer the Nest, so I returned the Ecobee and got another Nest. I found the Ecobee's remote sensors don't work well for my application. The Nest app works well to program and control the thermostats remotely. The self learning kinda works, but can be a little odd. Overall they are great.

Yes, this is an expensive little gadget, but if you're anything like me, this thing will pay for itself in a matter of months. I constantly forget to turn down (winter) or turn up (summer) my thermostat before I leave the house. This is no longer an issue for me because I can do it from anywhere with the phone app. Also, don't forget, that the potential rebates from your electric company and natural gas provider can be as high as $150 which makes this an even better value for your money!!!

This 3rd Gen Nest Learning Thermostat is great for controlling your temperature on the go thru your smartphone. It is easy to learn and use as the controls are fairly simple. The installation process is very simple, you can even go online to nest.com to see if your existing AC system is compatible. I have installed this unit in my home and the kids have learned how to work it without any issues. I recommend this to those people who are interested in getting a smart thermostat unit.

This is one of the best thermostats I ever owned. Very easy to operate and works wirelessly through the app.

This is easy to install and it is easy to use. This should allow me to save some money with its away mode.

It does what it says it does. Sleek and simple. But it loses one star because setting a manual schedule is very clunky and almost impossible. That is the only down side.

I have purchased three (3) of these for my home. All them were easy to install. There are not many instructions included in the box; however the instructions on line made up for that. Truth be told for general installation directions are not needed; however if you are wanting to set everything up the online instructions help. We have had these installed for about 3 months now and we have seen our bill reduced by about 15-20% of course the dog-days of Texas summer are not yet upon us.

Works well and expected. The instructions are pretty simple and can be done quite quick. I wish there’s a way to keep the display on the whole time.

We have had this thermostat for a couple years now and this is so fantastic. It's great to be able to control your thermostat from anywhere and this is also a great tool for energy efficiency. The thermostat also has some features that help you maximize your efficiency. The other thing I like is the compatibility with smart devices so you can control this with your voice.

This is a great thermostat and easy to install. Works as described.

Thermostats are basically utilitarian pieces of equipment; nothing too sexy about them. But this little beauty is smart and learns your schedule, automatically turning down heat during the day and then bringing it back up in time dinner. You can control via a smartphone app from anywhere, and you get an automatic monthly summary of your energy usage. I've already noticed a reduction in the amount of time my heat pump is running, and I suspect it will pay for itself within two years. Highly recommended.

Love the ease and ability for it to track your usage and makes a schedule based and how you use it...looks cool too.

Tip. Make sure to turn off the electrical connection before you install it. I relly like the nest and how i can schedule or control from my phone. Easy to use. I would recommend.

This replaced a defective Honeywell that we had upstairs. Computer to the Honeywell in installation this wins hands down. Entire process took less than 10 minutes, compared to almost an hours fighting with Honeywell’s extensive set up process and the wiring. When it comes to performance and interface, again this easily wins. I would highly recommend this over any of the other products on the market for the normal home owner.

This was easy to install and setup. Now I really love it. It gets smarter and seemingly easier to use!

Glad i uodated to a more user friendly thermostat. The wifi connectivity made it easy to monitor/adjust temps while on vacation. Setup was fairly easy...however it is very important to make sure you under stand and lable the wiring from old to new thermostat. I had 1 wire in the wrong place and ended up colling and heating at the same time.
