I am happy that I bought nest thermostat and love all the features especially look and feel and control any where.

I like the fact that I can check my thermostat from anywhere and make changes if I need to. For the most part it works pretty well. The app sometimes doesn't report the location correctly and it gets a little goofy. Sometimes it can't figure out whether or not you're home or away. They put out and update a while ago so you could add users and I thought that might help but it didn't. An example would be that my wife leaves for work before I do but even though we are both signed into the nest app under different users it see that she is gone and sets it to away but I am still home and it doesn't see I'm there. I have noticed a lower usage of heat and ac on average and that is good because my bill has gone down enough to make it worth the purchase.

It's not cheap, but I prefer this Nest thermostat vs the cheaper version. This one twists so you have a better feel of changing the temperature when you walk up to the device. I have Nest thermostats in all of my houses and I love all of them. Never had a problem.

We bought this for my parent's house. After the app told us we needed a pro to install it we were able to call the support line and the tech was able to walk us through everything! It's so easy to adjust and the cats can't accidentally change it like the previous thermostat! I am planning on installing one in my house too! I highly recommend this thermostat if you are looking to upgrade your thermostat.

Ladies (and men that love your women)! Have you ever had one of those nights where you wake up in the middle of the night SO HOT?!?! With this bad boy you dont have to even get out of bed. Roll over, pick up your phone and turn that baby down! Also, it's great to set a schedule while you are away during the day, and you can also set it so it knows you are coming home and can start lowering the temp. It's a gem!

Easy to install and use. Keeps my house warm when I'm home and energy efficient when I'm away. Great Thermostat!!!

I have used 1st and 2nd generation in other houses and now using 3rd generation nest in the new house. Bought due to sleeker design, display and updated sensors. Needed help with the wiring, so called customer service and I couldn't be happier with the service I have received. Other options considered was Ecobee 3.

Great instructions. Easy to install. Easy to use even for old non tech-savvy people. Looks great.

We love the Nest. It's easy to setup and use. I especially like the leaf, which tells me at a glance if I'm in an eco-friendly mode or temperature. Our electric company recently informed us that they are changing their service to include peak and non-peak hours. Having the Nest will enable us to easily schedule our heat pump not to run at those peak hours and will save us a lot of money.

Was a bit intimidated but installation was easy. Looks and works great.

At first I wasn't sure if I really wanted to spend this much money on a smart thermostat, but I've wanted one for a while so I decided to pull the trigger. As soon as I took it out of the package I was really impressed with the quality of this thermostat. The look, the feel, and everything else about it was top of the line. It was a breeze to install, easy to use and I haven't had a single issue with it. I should have bought one a long time ago.

I bought this primarily for the "learning" function to keep a more consistent heat with my radiant floors. It helps some with the ups and downs in temperature, but nowhere near as much as I had hoped. Though it is aesthetically pleasing and it's nice to use remotely via smart phone, if you goal is tight control over your radiant floors, I'd look at the less expensive competition. It also drives me crazy that Nest refuses to allow the display to show the ACTUAL temperature in the room in large numbers. You only see the temperature that it's set to unless you walk right up to it and look at the fine print.

I compared this with it's closest functional peers. In the end, I chose this based on it's functionality and compatibility with other home technology products. Installation and set up were a snap with well written instructions. It's only been two weeks since install so I don't yet have an electric bill to make before and after comparison of energy savings. I'll update once I have more history. I highly recommended this thermostat!
