Much easier to install than I expected, took less than 40 minutes including unboxing, reading instructions, mounting, wiring and setting up. Works great, very easy to see set and actual temperatures. But for us the key is the ability to monitor the temperature when we are not at home.

Caught on sale for 189 w/ googlr mini included. So I decided to Upgrade from Nest E to take full advantage of the new 2 stage system. Simple plug and play install. 2 stage capability allows the nest to choose which fan speed is necessary to meet the temp needs of the home.

Amazing thermostat. Setup is extremely easy. You can set schedules and remotely monitor and adjust on the fly via the app. My electric company also gave me a rebate for signing up with this thermostat. Highly recommend.

Got this mostly to have control of our home while traveling. Have only had for three weeks. Like the way it lowers the temperature automatically when you're away for a few hours. Had electrician install but set up was easy. Will be interesting to see how well it works when we start our travels in 2018

I really like the Nest Thermostat so far. I like being able to adjust the temperature of my phone. I also like to be able to see how much energy I've saved and how often my air conditioner has been running. My only complaint would be that the Nest isn't very consistent. But neither is my work schedule which is probably part of the problem. My schedule switches back and forth between dayshift and nightshift. Sometimes I'll be in bed and the thermostat is set to 69 degrees. Later on I'll wake up to the thermostat making the house hotter to 73-74 degrees even after I manually set it to 69. I don't get that yet. But overall, I really like this product.

It took me about 15 minutes to install and program the first one, liked it so much to be able to control the temperature from the smart phone App that I bought a second one since I have 2 zones. It comes with a mounting pad if you need to hide the space of the old one, no need to buy additional parts.

We just installed it yesterday. The directions were clear and easy to understand. I set it up fairly quickly and have never had experience with this kind of installment before. Love the option to control the temperature when we are out of town for guests that we have staying in our basement apartment.

I will be brief. This thermostat does what it says it will. It is very smart in learning your patterns to know when you are home to save you money. Only problem I had was when I worked from home it would turn on auto away , but that was my error for not turning that off for the day. In all a great piece of tech for any home.

This is the best Nest thermostat yet. The prior generation occasionally would loose it's connection with my router and then would show as offline in the Nest app. It was very annoying. Haven't had that happen yet with the 3rd generation Nest. The larger screen is nice too because it's much easier to read from across the room.

Easy to use and no C cable needed!!!! I had purchased another thermostat that was not compatible with my unit and the geek squad installer recommended this item which is exactly what I needed.

We had been wanting to get this for a while and finally did it. We love it so far! After only a couple of days, it has already learned our habits and self adjusts. It was very easy to install and is super easy to use!

I love the Nest product lineup but the 3rd Gen Learning Thermostat might be the best of all their products. Highly recommend to anyone looking to move toward a connected home. The product is great, the app is great AND there are a ton of 3rd party apps that work with Nest while integrating with other connected home technology.

Very easy to install. The app works flawlessly but you can get confused with the many features this thermostat provides. I dont like the fact that it complains the internet connection is not stable and the thermostat wont recognize "away" status. I find that wrong since I have the nest indoor and outdoor cameras and they turn on automatically everytime we leave the house, so not sure why does the thermostat complain. Shoutout to the customer service. Very prompt in replying to emails and easy to chat with

Too early to tell how much money it's saving, but daily history reviews and first Nest monthly report seem promising. Controls our forced air AC, gas heat, fan, and whole house humidifier perfectly. Even will circulate air (heat) with fan while humidifying to maintain target temperature and target humidity without using gas. Works well with a myriad of 3rd party apps. Strongly suggest IFTTT, ThermoStats, Yonomi, and maybe even the Wink app, whether or not you have their hub. Loves: Auto away mode and "nest sense" features. Eco settings. Heat/Cool as a single mode. Didn't love: The nest is supposed to learn from your behaviour... your temperature preferences at certain times set. It's supposed to learn your schedule. It should be "learned" in 9-14 days and then continually refine is program. After 5 weeks, ours still hasn't learned. After a call with tech support and some experimentation, have discovered it doesn't learn times or temperasure from manually setting ECO mode. To teach it, you must manually change target temperatures in a heat or cool mode. Basically, you'll have to teach it twice, once per season. The lack of operation instruction included really sucks and would have helpful here. From an experienced user/tester to a prospective buyer: Yes, we forsee this paying for itself. Don't let the "Didn't love" comment scare you. Buy it. Install it. Install the Nest app on anyone's phone who frequently visits the place/house (family, trusted babysitter, grandparents, children). Take the three minutes to manually program temperature (heat AND cool) preferences based on sleep schedule only. Enable all features of "Nest Sense" from the owners app. Disable on-thermostat motion detection if you have large or many pets. The Nest will the know when you've left the house. It doesn't matter if it's scheduled work or school, or an unscheduled pleasure outing. You won't have to wait for it to learn anything this way, even from day one, if you follow these steps. Let the nest handle the rest and enjoy the savings.

I had heard so much excellent word of mouth regarding this product from all of my friends. It is an excellent addition for someone wanting to create a smart home or just have a thermostat that can learn your patterns, and you can control remotely. The installation was super easy even if you have zero previous knowledge.

There are only a couple of features that improve over the gen 2 nest, but in general very functional. It detects automatically someone in the room so the display turns on. We have set it to display an analog watch which fits elegantly with the decoration of the room. Screen is larger and thinner, helping with the aesthetic of the thermostat.

I had been wanting one for awhile and finally decided to but one. I was able to install it my self and got a large rebate from my utility provider as well. I really like that I can change the temperature with my voice and phone

Hi quality construction, easy to install, and operate! Install was so simple I thought I did something wrong...5 minutes and it worked as designed! Programming straight forward and again took maybe 5 minutes...After a week or two it has learned enough to do it all on its own. Maybe a couple of tweaks here and there.

It works great alone, and even better with my nest Guard alarm system. It even integrates with my Google home hub. So very happy with it. As far as installation goes however, my advice is to engage with a Nest Pro installer, as my standard electrician did not hook it up correctly.
