I was skeptical of all smart thermostats, but I decided to buy the Nest as part of my spree of home upgrades this winter. After just a week of use, I'm a believer. I can't believe I waited this long. PROS: - Incredible easy installation. Anyone who has ever held a screwdriver can install this. - Beautiful software interface and intuitive navigation. - Amazingly smart. The Nest can tell when I'm home or away and adjust the temperature accordingly. After just a week, it has already learned my habits and created an accurate schedule. - Excellent iOS app. I love being able to adjust my thermostat from anywhere in the world. CONS: - Expensive, but be sure to check with your energy company to see if they offer rebates for smart thermostats. My energy company gave me $100. Highly recommended!

Best smart thermostat in the market. Easy usage and good tracking.

Can stay in bed (or under a sleeping baby) without having to get up to adjust the thermostat, because my phone is almost always within reach. The away feature would be great if our house was ever uninhabited that long. I love that it "learns" your preferences quickly so not much need to adjust it very often.

I already had a nest in my primary residence. I purchased this second nest for my condo at the beach. Everything about the nest is simple, install and use. Being able to adjust the temp of you home from your phone is great...house is comfy when you get there. Nest also saves my loot on my electronic bill.

Its nice to know i can save money by using this device..its designed specifically to meet the needs of my household

We’ve only had is installed a week. So far it’s still reading learning.... digital reading is nice and bright and large enough to glance at when walkin* by as it senses you. Love the ease of options and settings in the app. Should have bought this a long time ago. So easy to use.

Best thermostat. Love that you can control it through HomeKit which works perfect and through Siri also

The unit works well. It is saving us $$$ by adjusting when we are not at home. It learns your schedule, so the house is comfortable when we return from work. Great to be able to verify the temperature of the house and make changes from anywhere with you phone.

Was looking for something that did not need C Wire, found this. Very convenient, now I get to control my temperature from my phone

Awesome Thermostat! We had the older version which didnt wotk with additional sensors. Can keep certain areas of home temp controlled on schedule.

We have a house built in 1949. We have an oil burner with water baseboard heat. It took some tinkering with but we got it to work. Our old thermostat was no longer working properly and even though it was digital the heat was way off. Since we have had this, we love the convince of making it warmer and cooler. We use alexa to raise and low the temp, and have it set to turn down the heat when we tell alexa good night (she turns off all the lights). At first when we first started using it we thought the boiler was turning on more often, but it seems to be running for a shorter time. I went to check my oil tank to see if we needed a delivery, but we are at half a tank! Great! Not only that but we got a $100.00 rebate from pseg!

Best thing since sliced bread, awesome to have a smart thermostat and not having to go upstairs just to change the temperature.

Love the whote google best thermostat. Goes well with our asthetics. The app makes it so much easier to use.

Definitely the best smart thermostat for anyone that wants one that just works once it’s installed. The contractors that Billy my house didn’t properly hook up the neural wire and that caused issues on initial setup but once that was figured out it’s worked without issue since. Much more reliable than the Honeywell smart thermostat the contractor installed. Could have been partly the wiring, but there smart service seemed to often have issues for the Honeywell that the nest hasn’t had. Smart functions won’t work when the internet goes down, but you can still control at the unit which was not an option with the Honeywell thermostat.

This Nest device super cool. I can control my house from anywhere. Nest knows when Im house and what temp I like it. Also all the other devices that connect to it, really has changed they way i live. If you dont own it click buy it now!

I am so happy with my nest thermostat. It was easy to install and I love being able to have so much control of my home furnace with my cell phone. I have been using the thermostat for a few months now with no issues, very happy with my purchase.

I can control from phone , don’t have to walk to it , it learns my pattern everyday and every hour , remember it for next week same day , I can schedule temp for mid night , based on forecast . Gives home away assist to save money . I am loving it

Installed to work with hydronic baseboard heat only. Ugh! Had me worried as so many different settings to choose from and nothing specifically noting hydronic heat just “radiant” heat. It did take some time to learn (not sure if because of type of heating system) so I thought it wasn’t working initially and I kept changing the settings which didn’t help. Almost returned it. Best to set it up and forget it. I found the app a little buggy (iPhone 6s). Sometimes when away it had me logged as being “Home” so I took the “auto scheduling” off. It learns the times you prefer your heat turned up and down anyway so once I got that figured out, all was well. Didn’t have to touch it after a few days. Some learning curve but totally worth it. Customer service was also responsive and took time over phone to ensure all was set up properly. The price can be shocking but if you’re into cool gadgets and wanna change your heat setting from anywhere using an app, it’s for you.

My wife wanted a new thermostat that had a dial on it and she wanted to talk to it. This is perfect. Linked it to my echo 5 and she's happy. The install was pretty straight forward as is the over all setup. When in doubt, check the youtube videos on this.
