We just moved to a new home with dual HVAC systems for upstairs and downstairs. We already had a 1st generation Nest thermostat and bought the 3rd generation after reading that it a dual system works with it. I went through the process of taking pictures of the wiring and providing them to a Nest technician through online chat. I provided them with the make and model number of our two systems as well. He quickly confirmed that Nest was compatible and provided me two wiring diagrams which made it extremely easy to install. Took 15-20 minutes for each one. Now I can command or ask Alexa about the upstairs and downstairs temperatures. The only thing I had to figure out was how to get Alexa to connect with each one as it didn't do it automatically. Went into the Alexa app and disabled the Nest thermostat and reenabled it and added the two thermostats then labeled them upstairs and downstairs.

app is easy to use, design is appealing, works great. Like the eco mode. It does seem to revert to settings used only once, so not really sure how well it learns. It seems to just get stuck on one time. Wish when you deleted the history of temps nest would ignore those prior levels, but it doesn't seem to.

The nest was very easy to install. Even easier to manage compared to my programmable thermostat I had before this. You can really start to see where you can manage your cooling costs during the summer in Arizona.

The Nest is super clean looking and easy to use. It syncs with our home security system so that we can control it from our smartphones, whether we are at home or away. My only complaint is that it may be too smart for its own good! I am having to retrain it a bit now that I am home during the weekdays for the summer.

I was a little skeptical about purchasing after reading many reviews that a c-wire would be needed in order for the thermostat to work. This is not the case. Connected Nest without common wire for a month and no issues thus far. Works great and as intended.

The Nest was extremely easy to install, it came with all of the tools you need and it took less than 30 mins from start to finish. The Nest has been paired with my Alexa (echo dot) and works well. It's not fully compatible with Apple home Kit but hopefully that's something it can do in the future (with new updates).

We have 2 of these at home, and install them for others when we flip houses. When you find these on sale, it's unbeatable. Great to be able to see the temps and change it from anywhere. We use it with Google home, and it works great. Just say "turn up the heat", or "lower the temperature upstairs" and it just works.

Works well and allows easdy changes. Helps improve the ever expanding smart features available to save energy.

Love my nest thermostat. Works with my 2 wire furnace. I like the design of this model better than the new one. I like how solid and well built it is. I can change my settings from anywhere I have cellphone service. Easy to program.

Excellent quality with simple installation, just follow the accurate well written instructions. Beautiful design and engineering. "Smart" learning is actually quite amazing. I'd give it five stars, except, I don't like the temperature swings. The thermostat allows room (house) temperature to fluctuate as much as two degrees before cycling on and off. Typically, set at 73 degrees, house temperature will fall down to 71 before heat kicks back on. Too much swing for my liking. All other aspects of product is five stars.

It will might help you save money on your heater bill with the built in smart learning capability. It works really well with Alexa. You can remotely change temperature when outside your home. I was easy to install, just need to follow the recommendation in the booklet that comes with it .

A little over a year now, since purchased. Installation and setup was easy. I like the features it offers and enjoy the convenience of being able to control and monitor it from my phone, as well as google home.

We finally purchased the Nest thermostat 3rd generation after watching and hoping prices would drop. We absolutely love the Nest! It learns when I drop the temperature before bed and raise it up in the morning and does it for us. When we are away it goes into economy saver mode saving energy, and when we travel and return home we can access it with our smart phones and adjust the temperature for us so it's a perfect temp when we get home. I highly recommend this device.

I have now had my Nest thermostat for about a year and could not love it anymore than I already do. It was easy to install and, in fact, I did it myself. (61 yo female) I integrated it with my Alexa and it has just spoiled me. To be in bed and wake up hot and just tell Alexa to turn your thermostat down a degree is wonderful. When I leave the house, I'll turn up the thermostat mainly because my dogs don't like the house cold and then I'll use the app on my phone to lower the temperature a bit before I get home. I upgraded my home alarm system and now the nest is also integrated with it. If you're on the fence, Don't think twice. Buy a Nest thermostat. A friend is who told me about it and I have recommended it to my own family and friends. ❤️

This little device is packed with features. It is easily installed and adds a look of elegance to your walls with the color of your choice.

This is an amazing device. Nest has made so easy to install and after a normal week of use it knows your routine. If I leave work early I can set the thermostat before I leave and house is just right when I get home. Also great if you travel as you can keep up with the temperature and get set right before you get home.

We have only had this set up for about a week but it has been working great. We love being able to control the temperature of the house when we are gone. I have never installed a thermostat before but the instructions made it pretty easy.

I decided the first floor unit worked out so well that we would purchase a second unit for the second floor. It's made a great addition to the heat savings and also now allows us to make temperature settings in bed with our cell phones. Kind of nice in the cold winter months to not have to get up to change the temp!

The physical installation was very easy since I didn't have a special wiring configuration situation to figure out. The app made everything a breeze. The only thing I am not sure about is the AI functionality, it has not been adjusting the temprature and the data logs do not indicate it has been learning. So, why did this digital thermostat cost 3 times the amount of a basic digital unit? I'll wait and see for now.
