I picked up the Nest Thermostat to make my home "smarter" and more efficient. So far, the install was very easy, and I am looking forward to the thermostat "learning" our home and making our heating and cooling more green. Plus it looks cool.

Love the addition of this device to my home. It was easy to set up and has already started learning our daily routine.

Followed the instructions and it was very easy to set-up. Taking a picture of your old wiring prior to removing the old thermostat makes it all very easy. The only item I had was I did not know if my heat pump was a type O or B and I set it wrong to begin. When the cold air started blowing to heat the house and hot air blowing to cool the house I did some quick research to find the issue. Easy fix and now it works great. I also set-up the proximity setting and it works really well. When my phone leaves the house the temp goes to the predetermined temp and when I return it reverts back to the normal operation.

Very easy to use. No issues with connectivity like mentioned in the reviews for the 2nd generation thermostat. A little pricey but very convenient, love the smartphone app and convenience of controlling my heating and cooling with my phone.

I love how is really easy to install it works great

Imagine laying in bed at midnight and you wakeup sweating because it is too dang hot in your house/apartment. You don't want to get up and walk all the way to your livingroom to simply turn off the heat, or turn on the A/C. This nifty little device allows you to do all that, while you're laying in bed. You simply grab your phone, pull up the app or Google home, and just turn it to whatever you want. Another benefit, is that it learns your patterns. This is a great thing because it will know, after a while, that you are going to work. It will turn itself off and wait until before you come home to turn back on.

Although I am happy with the two nest thermostats that I purchased I was not happy with the nest website, specifically where you enter what wires your current thermostat has and it tells you if the nest will work. Basically it says the nest will work for me (what it doesn't say is that you kinda have to hack it to work) After reading about horror stories online doing it the way nest says to (for my situation) I went ahead and pulled new thermostat wire to both zones and upgraded my zone relay switch box. I only splurged for the nests because after the sale I got both for 400 then I got 200 back from my gas company as a rebate. In the end I paid 200 total for both which was awesome..... then I had to tack on about 40 for new wire and 110 for the new relay box (not to mention hiring a professional to install the box if you aren't the type of person who feels confident doing the work. I did it myself and it's pretty easy, intimidating but easy). I still saved but now it doesn't feel like such a great savings haha. There are cheaper options that do the same thing but nothing will be as cool as a nest. It's definitely a splurge item. If you plan on just buying this and installing it make sure you have at least 3 wires behind your current thermostat and one of them is a constant 24v (this is assuming you are using the thermostat for heat only, heat and ac will require more than 3 wires)

Thus far I have been very happy with the Nest Thermostat, which replaced a standard 5-2 programmable thermostat. Installation was a breeze, though the smaller profile of the Nest left an exposed unpainted area that was behind the previous, larger thermostat and which needed to be repainted. The Nest learns your standard schedule very quickly, and it is easy to make changes on the go from either the thermostat itself or from the Nest app. I am also a big fan of the "auto away" feature that turns down the heat when you are away from the home (it detects "away" based on a combination of motion in front of the thermostat and (optional) location services on the Nest app). I would definitely recommend upgrading the the Nest, especially if your utility company offers a rebate on the purchase of a smart thermostat.

The thermostat was easy to install. All you have to do is look at the present wiring and follow the online instructions to see if it will work with your wiring. Then, there are step-by-step instructions for installation. My system was over 30 years old, but it installed without difficulty. All the parts necessary are there with the thermostat. I know there are other thermostats out there, but the Nest Learning gets great reviews. Also, reviews stated that some of the other ones had hangups on installation with older systems. The thermostat and APP are very intuitive. I have had no problems controlling my system from afar If necessary. I am looking forward to a much lower heating and air-conditioning bills.

Works as advertised. It has made keeping my home at the temperature I want when I want extremely easy. Using the nest app has been a wonderful experience.

I am very happy with this product, the ability to adjust any setting remotely, it’s ability to learn our preferred temperature settings and most importantly the amazing energy impact it has made to our bill.

They work great. Highly recommend. Easy to use and they learn and will start automatically adjusting the temperature

Expensive but you get quality and ease of use. Works great. Installation was very easy and supports practically any type of unit out there. It looks great on the wall.

Love it! Was extremely easy to install. Did it myself! Still learning how to use all the features. But, I really like that I can set it with Alexa or my cell phone.

This works as advertised. Thermostats are basically a necessary eyesore. This one looks good. I purchased it as a gift and the receiver loved it. Said the installation and setting things up was pretty easy.

Awesome look and feel. Most modern thermostat there is. Good functionality even if you don’t need it it’s nice to have the option for future updates

Easy set up works great! Have to set it up in the nest app, not Google home.

Love this thing. easy to install and works perfectly so far. We love the history function and our ability to manage remotely. Also the function that lowers the thermostat when no one is home. Good investment and you wont be sorry

I got two nest thermostats for my house (upstairs and downstairs). I wanted a thermostat which I can control over an app and cool the house before I come in the evening. It works great and adapts to your schedule. Highly recommended.
