I just got my nest a few days ago and I'm already saving money. The Nest reads temperatures correctly and my unit doesn't cut on nearly as much. I can't wait to see my electric bill after having this in for a month.

I had a Nest E at my old apartment but needed to get the this Nest version for my new apartment because the Nest E (the frosted white one that’s cheaper) doesn’t offer as many input/outputs as this model. But if I have to recommend one thing, Get this model over the Nest. The install kit is more full and contains things I thought the Nest E should have came with to make install better. But this version of Nest looks much better. They both function the same though. And these nest thermostats are amazing for saving you money from energy use age.

This thing is great, my old thermostat was going crazy. I love that you can have multiple sensors, makes it almost work like a dual zone system.

Simply said, an impulse buy that I knew could be returned, however, it was installed within 15 minutes, programmed with its basic features understood in another 15, and left on its own from there. While it requires a bit of user input the first week -- most of it done from a simple and quite usable app available for both iPhone and Android smartphones -- after that, only minor adjustments will be done from time to time to alter what might be considered the household's usual schedule. It allows an unprecedented degree of control, from close or afar, of one's temp settings. Crank the heat up 30 minutes before hopping out of bed on a brisk morning, or have it activate the fan for a preset time period in the middle of the night with the same ease without getting up and fumbling around with the blasted thing in the dark. It provides an accurate record for each day, indicating when the heat or a/c was activated, whether by the thermostat or a household member, to what degree, and for how long it was on. There is simply no way this can't ultimately pay for itself after the rebates and ultimate savings on the heat and cooling bills. Highly recommendable, and one of the few products that I would really have to scratch around to find something to call a shortcoming.

I really like this thermostat it has save me a total of 250 hours of air conditioning usage the last four months. I've seen the difference on my light bill but to be totally honest the reason I purchased this nest thermostat was the convenience of turning it on and off from my phone. I really like this feature because I can adjust the temperate from any location I'm at. I usually adjust the temperature 30 minutes before I get out of work so that when I get home it's nice and cool.

As mentioned above, this is a very cool product. It really does what the advertisements say. It was relatively simple to install and program. No problems so far.

I purchased two of these to replace my previous programmable thermostats for upstairs and downstairs. It is appearant when taking these out of the box that they are of high quality. They were very straight forward to set up. I would recommend patching and painting under your existing thermostat for the "cleanest" look, however, they have thoughtfully supplied a cover plate if you decide not to. The software updated during set-up, but was easy to connect to my wireless network. So far I am very impressed with the quality and functionality. I feel you get the additional value for the price paid and would highly recommend.

I am not an electrician by any means. I followed the instructions BUT I have a dual heating system which normally requires “professional installation.” So, I hooked everything up exactly how it said and it was not working correctly. I called Nest and they completely walked me through everything and they were the most friendly customer service reps I have ever talked to. System works great now and I love that I can control it from my phone when I’m at work, on vacation, etc. it has learned my schedule up to this point and has definitely saved me some money.

Extremely easy to install. Really nice to be able to control your HVAC from your phone. I was surprised how much money it started savings us in the first month.

We just moved to this house and had a Nest in our previous house so after a major remodel we installed a new Nest. It works and looks great and we enjoy the ability to control it when we travel or from our phones anytime.

They were easy to install, look great, easy to set up, work to decrease energy consumption.

I had it installed in barely 30 minutes, including the online setup. We previously had a programmable thermostat but it was alwys a challenge to remember how to reporgram the night time turn down and put it in hold mode when we arose or staid awake outside the regular hours. We are frequently out of town a lot, and when a relative forgot to switch the programmable from cool to heat in the season change, I knew it was time for a change. The new system links to my simplisafe alarm so the temperature is automatically turned up/down to my preset preferences when the alarm is put in away mode as well.

So easy to set up and very convenient to use. Works really well also added the room temperature sensors!
